Carbon's Cut Features
Carbon's Cut Features
juz get it when i surfing in Wikipedia
This is a list of some of the features that were, according to the original design, going to be in the game, but either due to time restraints, changes in design or difficulty of implimentation, were cut.
* A police helicopter that fired vehicle immbolizers was going to be in game and persue the player's car after reaching heat level 3 or higher, but due to the complexity of the pathing needed, was cut.
* Customizable license plates
* Drifting against computer players, but the programmers had difficulty in programming the AI to drift.
* Rain during drift races
* Another type of crewmember, a Persuader, who would cause traffic to block the player's opponents, was cut due to programming difficulties.
* Traffic in Canyon maps
* Many UCAP (Similar to MOCAP but with facial expressions) scenes were cut due to the sheer amount of rendering power needed.
* 20 Car races were cut from PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox consoles due to lack of respective processing power.
* A "Tuner" flag girl (currently there are only Muscle and Exotic flag girls ingame)
* San Juan being the starting area before going out into Palmont, complete with cop cars
* Being able to adjust the Ride Pitch of your car, making it slant downwards.
* Being able to get more than a 20x multiplier on Canyon Drift races.
Real or not??

Real or not??
Alot of thinks could be very well true.
The reason of the helicopter is was just because of the high buildings and smaller streets in the game and it made the chopper fly into stuff (or trough stuff)
I doubt there would be a more advanced helicopter anyway.
And I really doubt there was a plan for a customized licenseplate. EA skipped the custom plates after people used it for in apropriate words etc. in NFS 4.

Very true...TheStig wrote: And I really doubt there was a plan for a customized licenseplate. EA skipped the custom plates after people used it for in apropriate words etc. in NFS 4.
Still, That sounds like a stupid feature anyways... No point. Id rather have real scrambled plates instead CARBON on all my cars.

In a way your right but I there never was a ingame footage of NEONS on a car that is what I ment. sure if you look at it from that pov it is true.GT3x24x7 wrote:Well if they made a Carbon teaser movie that included neons, doesn't it stand to reason that they were cut sometime soon after that, Stiggy?
Ooh some of you are really optimistic, do really think EA will give us extra features in a patch?
Trust me there won't ever be Neon's in Carbon, atleast not made by EA.
It's simple: neons are a new light source and with all the reflections in NFSC it would take a lot of gpu power to process them meaning the framerate would go down and the cars would appear to be moving slowlyGT3x24x7 wrote:Someone please explain how adding neon will slow a car down? They can't weigh more than a few grams. Also, who's gonna tell all the kids around my city with neons on their cars that in real life, people just don't put neon on their cars?

joablo, do you know how friggin large the file would be if they included neon files in the next patch, who'd download it. Besides, neons are gay and should only be on showcars. And a second thing about neons, they're under the car, and your car is racing and always jumping, so the neons would get crushed and busted when they hit the ground anyways.
