I'm not saying they look fake, because they look quite real... I'm just wondering what he means by 'hook ups'

He means a friend can get him a pair cheap, maybe because he is in the business, or another reason. He was able to be 'hooked up' with a pair, normally an American saying.

Lets guess age.

I say 20 yr old stereotypical nerdy (sorry, no offense) looking university genius.

Or just a 15 yr old.

I havent seen many people wear those kind of glasses before except in comedy films or shows with "Nerdy" characters.

And I was close on the age.

well, considering my birthdate is on the left... you couldve known the exact number.. :P

and besides, the "stereotypical nerdy" character in movies usually have big square glasses with very thick black frames...

I hate it when people associate glasses with nerdyness..what makes people establish that link..just because we are visually impaired, we have to be ultra-bright?

Stupid stereotypes..

I cannot say how I was able to get them but I assure you they are quite real. I can even take pictures of the small details. Also, if anyone's interested in the model, check here:

As for the glasses associated with nerdyness thing, I have stopped stereotyping that due to the fact that I saw some extremely good looking Versace and D&G eyeglasses that looked pretty dang amazing, enough that I'd want to be visually impared :D

And 2furio, I'm not trying to put you on the spot, it's just strikes as odd when you get them for free lol

I don't know much about skateboarding, but in weather like that wouldn't it be better to be wearing shorts? Just a suggestion... I usually feel more comfortable in shorts when I'm playing sports.

February in NC is nothing like February in Northern Canada. Last week we got down to -25 C, this week is a pleasant -10 C. And most people just wear light jackets here.
