They still haven't fixed the stuttering issues. Then again, it may because I am below system requirements. I don't know if they are minimum or recommended but in the Read Me, it says I need 256 MB of video RAM. Unfortunately, I only have 128 MB. I don't think the game will stay on my computer for very long if the stuttering issues really affect the gameplay and so far, it's not looking good.
I already have it, can't say my resources .. but I'm playing it .. I didn't read too many about the game, but I really like it, great cars, no story, but who cares, it's racing, it involves girls or boys, depends on character ... I am stuck somehow @ police chase ... they followed me quite a while, and now there are 3 marks on the pursuit .. and I'll be ## if I know how to lose them .. if I hide, they don't see me, but they stand put .. I have no idea how to lose the pursuit .. and NO I'm not giving myself up, last time I checked the Fine .. was around 30k $ .. good luck with the game

Because you should get first the one that's on the box
I'm getting this game also but the stuttering in the beta was a "nfsmw-ish" game again...lot of stuttering in my pc....not good.
Also, the game was requiring 256mb of VIDEO ram?? sure skyline??
I've read also in the readme that it was 128mb, and 256MB PC RAM, not video..
Xturbo.
He makes it sound like he has some uber, secret resources where he can get anything he wants, when in fact, it doesn't take a genius to find it on the net.

Anyways, you make it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about and that I am computer-illiterate. Well, in that case, let me quote you the System Requirements from the Read-Me:

Anyways, you make it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about and that I am computer-illiterate. Well, in that case, let me quote you the System Requirements from the Read-Me:
OS (Operating System): Windows 2000/XP/Vista
CPU (Processor): Intel P4 @ 2.4 Ghz or AMD Athlon 2800+
GPU (Video Cards): ATI Radeon 9800 256 MB VRAM or Nvidia 6600 GT with 256 MB of VRAM. Video Cards with vertex/pixel shaders 2.x and above are recommnded
SPU (Sound Cards): DirectX 9.0-compatible Sound Card
System Memory (RAM): 512 MB (1 GB recommended)
HDD free space (Hard Disk): 8 GB minimum
I've had an eye on this game for some time now. The XBox 360 version looks awesome, but I'll be getting it for the Playstation 2. I'm annoyed by the amount of features they had to remove for it to suit the PS2 version, but unfortunatly it's the only one I can get (the PC and laptop are both rubbish in my house). Don't care, I'll still buy it anyway.
Who else is buying the PS2 version? We'll need to begin a NFSUnlimited club...

Interesting comments re: stuttering issues.
I didn't encounter that problem in the beta at all, even though my 9800 Pro graphics card only had 128MB of vram. The cars did feel slow (guess it was poor frame rate), but they ran smooth. It ran much better when I turned the graphics quality down to medium from high, and still no stuttering. I'm wondering if the issue for you guys is processor-speed related (though my processor isn't exactly cutting edge any more either)?
It'll be interesting when I receive the full version - it'd better run better than the beta, as I've since upgraded my graphics card (not specifically for TDU, but because the old 9800 was starting to struggle with modern games, even though I'd overclocked it).
