do i need the cop. version of NFSMSW and NFSC to put the downloaded vinyls
i have some downloaded but i have the ps2 versions of both games does this means i cant put in the downloaded vinyls

Yes, you need the PC version in order to have any unofficial downloadable content.

probably not. it will probably corrupt your save file, or something else bad

The vinyl addons don't modify the savefile, they modify the game files. So unless you can somehow modify the files on the game disk, you're out of luck.

And no, it's not BS. For as long as I can remember, user made custom content has only been available for the PC.
