To fix:
1. Right-click Desktop and go to Properties
2. Click the Desktop tab and click Customize Desktop
3. Click the Web tab and deselect Lock Desktop Items
4. Now click Ok/Apply on all the windows, and you should be back to normal.

Search on Google or Juiced editing forums. The format of DAT files can change depending on the application that created them.

Jana, did you ever get your icon problem fixed? If not, what kind of file is it you have applied as your wallpaper? I had the same problem, my wallpaper was a .png and icons weren't transparent, but when I changed the file into a .jpg, the icons became transparent.

I only picked that because it was the highest up I could find that uses an AM2 socket. Anything else and I would have to change my motherboard and I'm not going to do that.

Hmm... I should try those on my sister's computer. She has the same problem. I swear... if it wasn't for me she would have broken that computer years ago.

Okay, since my sister is getting a laptop and I'm gonna be away from my computer alot because of work I want to rebuild my Dell C600 Laptop that my brother completely ruined. I need to find these parts for under $70 dollars.

-Keyboard
-Top Plastics (Palmrest)
-Moniter

Optional
-motherboard

I've been trying to save my 1000th post for something important, and i think this counts.

So....
