Or what? I have no problems whatsoever with newer NFS games, my card is pretty good and I never have any problems with any game. The road and sky textures look like they were taken from NFS3! Are the textures just like this (they just can't be, it's a 2004 game for god's sake)? If not, is there a way to solve this, like making the textures look better?

Have you updated your drivers recently?
Any patches installed for the game?

Yeah, have the latest drivers installed, though I run a modified version of them. But there are no problems whatsoever with the drivers, because every other game I have does not have this kind of textures.
I haven't patched the game yet, but will it fix the problem? I doubt it...
I have like, 16x AF turned on, texture quality is set to high in the Tray Tools, everything maxed when it comes to textures. Are they as bad as mine in your versions? I went to Gamespot to look for pictures and they were just as awful...
That would make it a laptop, right?bakalhau wrote:Ati Radeon X1400 (handles the game like butter with lots of settings on/high)

In case you didn't know, most laptop tft panels aren't that great at producing good color cradients despite the gfx chip the machine has (usually they have only 8-bit colorscale which allows it only 256 colorsteps (per color) which isn't quite enough, produces "borders" between different tones in color gradients).
I've noticed the very same thing. Playing MW with my desktop that has a CRT+R1950 vs my laptop (tft+X1600 Mob) looks very different, particularly on the sky gradients.
