The DX10 cards available in the market are kinda weak.
I've just seen a video/trailer of Crysis on a 8800Ultra at 2560x 1920, or some resolution like that,
and i could notice the low fps etc.

Is there any news of a 8900 or better gpx card yet?

is that really suprising considering such a resolution? lol

Strange cuz the usually most of us gamers have 19inch monitors so that means 1280x1024, so if you had a 8800GTX why would you play a game at 1024x784 when you can play at 1280x1024 with no lag? But i may have misunderstood you.

dont know why , i have always just played them at that resolution, some games i play at 1600 x 1200

But most of the competitions held here ( WGC, CGS..etc. ) Have 21"-22.5" monitors, and most games play at very high resolutions.
Considering that, the 8800 Ultra, should be able to cream, any game at high resolutions.

I just got another pci-express graphics card and it comes with a power adapter ,two 4-pin molex plugs to the six pin plug for the card do i have to connect both these plugs or is one enough?

If your power supply does not have a six-pin connector already on it, then yes, you must connect to both the 4-pin plugs.

the ultra needs a six pin and an eight pin pcie. you'll need a new power supply for that.

Remember that the price is not bad for a card that is double the power of a 8800Ultra so imagine the prices for the 8 series they will drop like a stone we will be able to buy a 8800GTX for the price of the 8600GTS and the Ultra for the price of the 8800GTS 320mb. I can imagine how the guys who thought the 8800GTX will kick butt feel after this.

Great, for once they're thinking economical...this means those who run already 8800GTX cards, dont need to upgrade their PSU.

It'll do medium settings at moderate resolutions fairly well, but I can help you more if you let me know what the rest of your system consists of. At CAD$112, you're into GeForce 8600 GT/HD 2600 XT (DDR3) territory, both of which are far superior to the X1650 Pro (especially if it's only DDR2).
