Re: Test drive unlimited
Stupid TDU still won't run on my PC. I tried playing it last night but it froze before I even got to the main screen, so if it's an in-game setting problem, I can't even fix it without reinstalling the entire game. This is extremely annoying and an absolute waste of $50. I haven't played the game in at least 3 months and I can barely even remember where I was at. At least EA's bugs aren't massive ones that don't allow you to play the game *cough*Atari*cough*.

Re: Test drive unlimited
@ race_invader it should run but it will stutter a lot due to lack of memory especially in the city areas. Your gpu is more modern than mine so lets see what happens shall we.
@ taz ok then if your lucky you should get a few more frames

Why do you want to play TDU on PC if you've it already on the 360 ?race_invader wrote:Hmm.. Shuttering do i really risk playing TDU with that. Thank you for that btw.

Re: Test drive unlimited
Well i like to meet other PC users too so i don't mind buying the game twice, but so far bad comments and problems have been said about the PC version etc so i might just stick to X360, i don't like the sound of shuttering though so ill pass.
Re: Test drive unlimited
Does anyone know if there is a way of removing the patch?
Re: Test drive unlimited
Good question, baadmw.I was asking myself how to do it.
If it's more buggy with the patch, how I unistall it?
I installed again TDU,and I realized that I have more FPS then the last time I had it.Kinda weird...

Re: Test drive unlimited
A few changes to my GFX driver managed to get Test Drive Unlimited to finally work. But there is one extremely dissappointing part to it: I can't drive around in any of my online accounts.
It is most likely a bug, and I know that it's for any online account because I tried more than one. I also tried going offline and it worked okay (Laggy though).
But since my online account is my only good one, does anyone know how to fully convert my online account into an offline account (Not just disabling the 'online' settings)?

@ Frenzy: It is possible. My game is a perfect example. I still haven't found out a way to convert my online account to an offline one.

Re: Test drive unlimited
I know the requirements say 6600GT, but since those are offten much lower than they need to be, how well could a 7600GT OC run it? I have 1.25 GB RAM and windows vista... (and an AMD sempron 64 2.4ghz proccessor)
And how well would an 8600GT run it?

Re: Test drive unlimited
I think you could run it on 800x600 with medium or high details...

Re: Test drive unlimited
I dont know about the sempron, but with my 7600GT, 2 GB RAM, Pentium D 3.0, i can run it on max settings (HDR off) at 1024x768.Carcrazy wrote:I know the requirements say 6600GT, but since those are offten much lower than they need to be, how well could a 7600GT OC run it? A 8600GT will let you play it with HDR+AA on too, but again...i dont know about the sempron.

Re: Test drive unlimited
@ GINIX: Then what explanation do you have for this? I'm pretty sure it's a glitch, and I tried running both the online and offline modes at the same settings.
Re: Test drive unlimited
I am so firetruck pissed I think I broke the gear. I have a wheel and when I set it to manual and auto-clutch and h-shifter on it doesn't start or change gears. It stays in the NEUTRAL POSITION. Damn it pisses me off. Tried without auto-clutch or h-shifter.
It sucks ass.

It sucks bumbum.
Go to the control settings, and see whats under something like 'engine'. stock, if you'd press the throttle, it starts, but if you set it to a button (like i did) u can start and turn off the engine.
BTW: im running this game quit well at:
Intel 2.6 ghz
512 mb ram
Ati Radeon 9600 TX
though you can see my cpu struggles in the cities, but out in the desert it runs smoothly, cruisin' at 200 mph.... damn nice...

Re: Test drive unlimited
Ya'll have to check this out... I've been working for the past few hours getting some money to buy another car. (Gettin to many miles on the F430...) So I got up about 250,000... didn't feel like getting any more. I went all around the island, didn't find a single car I liked that was faster than the ferrari. So I went home, and checked the community sales. Got me a new dark blue DB9, but that's not the point. When I was looking, someone was selling a Maserati Spyder 90th Anniversary, brand new for $1,000! Someone was also selling a Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG, also brand new, for $1,000! I took a screenshot just to show you...
