Looks okay but i still can't get over the fact the Rx7 is doing a wheelie. Maybe have the option of wheelie bars? It just looks out of place, its possible for the Rx7 to launch like that but it doesn't do the car justice.

I agree. American cars I can see doing that but Japanese cars? No.
Why not?
With good drag tyres and some suspention tweaks any 700+HP RWD car will wheelie.
A good launch is most important in drag racing.
I've seen on TV 1000HP+ Skyline loose to stock Porsche Turbo because of defective lauch-control.
look how the car floats over the suspension b4 the race starts . . if they can maintain such physics detail . . the game will be definitely be one of hit racing games distinct from any other . . . but the wheelie is too much lol . . I wouldn't want a tuner car in the drag races either . . . it would feel like fitting a ford gt settings in a rx7 . . . . . possible . . but spoils the environment and uniqueness
Yep.. Mazda RX-7's can wheelie i have a real life picture somewhere but cannot find it i would show but yeah they can wheelie.. I will love doing drag specially since there is drag straights with lights etc etc
i know its not the rx7 but i could not find any this will be my 1st choice when pro street arrives
Yep but those are 1500hp Supras...and doesn't happen every time. It's impossible for a 700-800hp Supra to wheelie like in the trailer or any other import. Wheelies look great on muscle cars though i doubt a 800hp Cuda can wheelie like that... but just stick that to am muscle!

I've personally seen jap cars launch at drag meets, but the launch on the game looks weird, its like its slowed down and the cars suspension doesn't react when the car finishes it wheelie. I've seen RX3s do some impressive launches come to think of it i think one actually maintained one the whole length.
with the full damage system it wouldn't be a surprise if cars will do that. some people said they had a hard time controlling the wheelies in the community day demo.

Yeah I think they got it mostly right but as you and few others mentioned the cars should compress a little on the front end when they finish the wheelie especially big block mopar muscle theres alot of motor weight on the front end and it wouldn't touch back down so soft..............
Everyone seems so thrilled with wheelies and their physics detail . . but I feel like spoiling the fun here . . cause wheelies are bad for drag races . . they bring the biggest adversary known to the physics of drag racing, in academic words called: AIR DRAG! . . . . the car loses plenty for the air it fights under it . . avoiding wheelies would be best . . cause you need to get maximum acceleration from the very start
Wow... if EA doesn't correct their physics it's going to be quite ridiculous (and somewhat amusing at first) that a Lexus IS350 or BMW M3 will be doing wheelies.
i just hope it is a setup option the wheelies do look fun but i can imagine it will get a little repetative

in the video interviews they have been saying you can perfect your ride`s??? i just hope this is true and we can all finally use our fav cars. i beleive there is nothing better than beating a high hp car with a car that should not win it just make`s the win that little bit better
i dont get it how in hell can u make a wheelie when taking of spinning why dont they take off underground 2 style like it supposed to be not stupid burnout launch thingy
This game has been looking good so far but they've added a few things that are causing me (and I'm sure many others) to worry about the "realism" EA is trying to get at.
@ danyutz: Yes, you are probably right about that. But if someone does try using a car not meant for drags, it's going to look quite stupid.
I want to use a dodge viper for drag, cause the top speed n acc is worth the punishment . . imagine what would happen if it does the wheelie . . I'll fall off my chair out of laughter for the 2nd time in my life (first time was leisure suit larry)
