Street Rod, best racing game ever is back!!!

Some people are making a Street Rod 3 ver. There are some screenshots and a pre-release ver. It is 3D, and has many more parts than the older versions. I hope this ver still maintains the Street Rod spirit, cause it is going to be great (and free, eat that warez pirates!).

Can someone tell me what Street Rod is like as I have never seen it. Is it by any chance similar to nfs??

No, not at all.

There are two ver. Street Rod (1989) and Street Rod II (1991). You will notice that they are very old games.

Well the first takes place in 1965 and the other in 1969. In both you can buy old cars, yune them and race other players. When you have enough money you can buid a mighty HOTROD, and after racing three times each track you can race the king, to become the new king of the street. You have 4 different tracks in the second ver.: Sreet Drag, Mulholland Drive and Acqueduct on the steets, and a drag track in which you can only race wensdays. You have a time limit, which is two months to race the king.

It is a cool game, you should check it out. You might download both at http://www.classic-trash.com, as is an abandonware.

Thanks Koffy for the explanation. Age of the game doesn't matter as there are some out there nowadays which are pretty crap. I'll have a look for it might be able to locate it.

Guess i'm the first who voted

.I believe that SR2 is very good but i also like SR1.SR2 though has more options and the cars are more good looking and not so old...Also you can buy one of my favourite cars...Ford Mustang GT500....VERY nice car....Don't know how will SR3 be but if it follows the same pattern it'll be great.

Yes, It's basicly the same. If you look into the sr3 site ( http://www.streetrod3.com 9 there is a section called ideas, where you can see which kind of toings will be included in the game, and if you like, you can propose new things.
