I would actually say that if Rockstar had the chance they'd license it, I mean they got the almost-as-expensive Pagani Zonda for 3 Remix and the even-more-so-expensive CLK-GTR.

I seriously doubt that there will be a CLK GTR.

Don't judge it yet...

Have you even played MC3? The CLK-GTR is the most expensive car in the game which also reflects on it's real-world price of 2.1 million pounds.

Well besides the release dates is there any news? or anything i've been searching for awhile now to at least make this thread not go to the bottom.

Found things!!!
"These cars are 100,000 polygons," I'm told at Rockstar's booth. "That's not how many polys you'll see in Maya, that is the actual, in-game count." The man helming the controller dutifully pans around the car to show it off. It is
impressive looking, down to the detailed interior. We then put the camera inside the car. Welcome to Midnight Club: Los Angeles and, yes, there is a cockpit view. "This is my favorite way to play," the Rockstar rep tells me, beaming ear to ear.

There is a lot to like about the game, even at this early stage. It was clear that there were a few glitches and unfinished textures, but what was there looked great, and it zipped along at a very solid framerate. "We've had police before, but this time it's dynamic, not scripted," they tell me. You can bring up the standard map from the old Midnight Club games, but now you can zoom all the way out and look down on the city. The new 3D map is solid, and it's even better when you zoom to a race and the camera gives you a helicopter's eye view of the city as you pan to the starting point. "You can also drive there if you want," they say, but I can tell this is something they wanted to show off. Apparently, if you don't go into the garage, you can play the entire game without seeing a single loading screen. Impressive.

The racing itself stresses the illegal street-racing aspect of the Midnight Club series and, when you scream around a corner, the camera slides to one side as if its trying to keep up. Hit the nitrous, and the camera moves to the side of the car and focuses on the driver. This may sound annoying in print, but in action it still gives you a near-perfect view while giving the game a much more cinematic feel. You can also turn this feature off if you like, locking the camera behind the car.

I'm promised a solid framerate on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of the game. I'm looking at you, EA. I've never been a big fan of the Midnight Club games, although I'm told that Dub Edition moved an amazing 5 million+ copies, but from what I've seen of Midnight Club: Los Angeles, this game is going to be quite the next-generation racer. I'm very impressed.

Details:

# 24-hour day-to-night cycle

# "With it running on the RAGE engine, which powers Rockstar's Table Tennis and also the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto IV, you can in fact expect a very similar visual quality to the in-car segments of GTA4 - scenes which we have already given high praise to in our first-hand coverage earlier this year."

# Rockstar San Diego developed the Rockstar Advanced Graphics Engine, or RAGE. "With it running on the RAGE engine, which powers Rockstar's Table Tennis and also the forthcoming Grand Theft Auto IV, you can in fact expect a very similar visual quality to the in-car segments of GTA4 - scenes which we have already given high praise to in our first-hand coverage earlier this year."

# A cockpit camera view has been added. You can see dials move in the vehicles that react to your speed.

# A cinematic in-game camera "makes this stand out from the crowd" of other racing games.

# The game will have pedestrians.

# The in-game menu is actually a satellite view of the game map. "The camera literally zooms in from this satellite view, through the clouds and down to street level and right behind your car in two seconds."

# The city is open entirely from the start and "is at least as big as DUB's three cities combined."

# A "quick fix" garage will repair your car damage.

The metallic paint effect on the Saleen S7 looks a bit weird and fuzzy... But that carbon fiber is actually pretty impressive.

Never been too much of a fan for Midnight Club, but I might have to give this one a chance.

Well it is a work in progress, in the end imo will be like Juiced 2's paint with the effect. Oh and ive been told the picture of the HUD screen the lamboghini in it is a Veilside lamborghini gallardo. Not sure if its true.

Delayed: Midnight Club: Los Angeles, the forthcoming PS3 and 360 street racer from Rockstar San Diego. Now, instead of its previously scheduled "early 2008" release, the game will now arrive during the August-October quarter of this year.
