HELP! Max speed is only 50 MPH (Carbon, PC)

I didn't know how it happened. I was just playing in Challenge Series when my car slowed down. The highest speed it can reach is only 50 mph. Using NOS is no help at all. I tried my maxed McLaren in Free Roam and the same problem happens. I tried my VW Golf at min and the highest speed it can reach is only 35 mph!?! I checked my bro's career and it's okay. The game is NFS: Carbon, PC.

Help please! How can it be undone?

Odd problem.

Only thing that comes to mind is that you are using manual transmission and are not switching gears. Top speed at gear 1 would be around what you are saying.

No. I'm using automatic transmission. Odd indeed.

(Edit: VW Golf's max speed is 38 mph not 35)

Does it matter? I have played the game many times and this is the first time it happened.

Your keyboard might have gotten a key stuck or something. Happens all the time to me, ****s up my drift every single time.

But other profiles work well so I'm sure it's not in the keyboard.
