Mirror's Edge is a game about running for your life when the police, security guards, and even news helicopters are shadowing you. In the demonstration that DICE gave, the action included leaping from one rooftop to another, vaulting over fences and other obstacles, sliding under pipes and overhangs, and even engaging in some martial arts combat. (Faith reportedly will not use a firearm, so you won't be shooting in this game.)
Momentum is a key idea in the game. It's not enough that you're jumping around this environment. To perform some moves, you'll need to string together a bunch of maneuvers to build up speed. For instance, you can climb over a fence, which takes a few seconds. But what happens if you jump off a neighboring rooftop, do a parachute roll upon landing (so you don't lose precious momentum), and use the ensuing momentum to vault over the fence in a heartbeat?
Ya, I'll probably get this when I'm done with RA3. I liked the running and jumping thing is Assassin's Creed, so hopefully it will be something like that.
Just ordered it.
Tried the demo and it plays really nice so let's see how the full game is like. It's already discounted a lot, got it for only 32 eur.
Wow, not bad bojan. Army of two is already 20 USD new here. xD and that is bad. lol
I was amazed at how fluid the controls of ME handled on the 360. My only reason for not buying it now is that it lacks any depth or replayability past the singleplayer campaign (similar to HL2).
Agreed, I wouldn't pay the full 60eur for it either, but I think that at 32eur (3.5eur shipping included) it's a good deal. The time trials should be fun though (with the online leaderboards).
I tried the demo again before I thought about buying this and I'm really glad I didn't, and from the reviews about not alot of replay ability makes it a shame its not as good as people have been saying it is.

Get Deadspace, awesome game and has a little bit of replay ability, beating it on normal then on the unlocked really hard mode or whatever its called.
I've learned that the review scores are not to be trusted. I did enjoy the demo a lot and having a whole game play like that should be fun. Otherwise I can always sell it...
Deadspace is definitely another game I'm getting. Not now though, waiting for the price to fall down a bit more. Probably after new years.
So I finished career and doing time trials now.
Ok career was a bit short and there were times where the momentum of the game comes to a halt as you don't know where to go. But still, the story was nice and even though I died a million times it was still seriously cool to play through.
Doing time trials now which are basically the best parts of career maps where you have to do a continuous run as fast as you can. Those are so addictive! Yesterday I just couldn't stop playing. Ended up going to bed much later than normal.
