Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
sounds like something waiting to go wrong bugs and money - the ea way

Wow. No kidding. I didn't realize there were so many.korge wrote:Vista Pro
Vista Elite

Vista Empire
And the list goes on...
EA learns from the best.
Thankfully the only worthwhile car in the CE is the Challenger and it looks like we'll probably have the 09 Camaro, so it's all good.

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
the flip... this is not cool... they don't need another CE, all the cars should already be in the original.. EA is a let down, again...
hang on... how fast did you say i went again officer??
Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
Great, advertise some nice cars for us to get hyped about, then tell us we have to pay an additional price for them.

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
This sucks. Hyping fans up and then finding out they have to pay for the cars that should have been in the game already. EA just put all the cars in the actual physic retail copy.
Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
Did you honestly think EA wouldn't firetruck something up? It's EA, you should all know by now.

WOW.
I thought EA actually had it right, only 3 days from release... silly me.
Can't trust a convict with a gun, can you?

NO EA is very predicitable, I knew they would do this, they did it with Pro Street and they did it with Carboncrossz06m3 wrote:God damn those sons of....

I agree with most sentiments here. As an aside anybody know what the file size for the ce upgrade is. (I am on a fairly limited data package).

Don't forget MW's Black Edition... it's sad, it was actually a cool idea imo back then.TheStig wrote:NO EA is very predicitable, I knew they would do this, they did it with Pro Street and they did it with Carboncrossz06m3 wrote:God damn those sons of....

Atleast the Black Edition was a game that you could buy with a special box etc. gave it a bit extra.

Yeah, but if EA started giving away special (metal) boxes, then that would make them Microsoft...TheStig wrote:Atleast the Black Edition was a game that you could buy with a special box etc. gave it a bit extra.
Although I did actually like the BE box... infact, when the game was to buggy to play on my crappy computer, I'd just stare at it. (Then get pissed off because EA rushed another game, thus the bugs.)

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
At least you got something tangible with the Black Edition, even though the extra DVD was kindof worthless. With ProStreet, you could only get the CE as a downloadable add-on, which kindof defeats the purpose of naming it Collector's Edition. Most collectors want something tangible to distinguish their edition from others.TheStig wrote:Atleast the Black Edition was a game that you could buy with a special box etc. gave it a bit extra.

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
I actually expected something good from the Carbon CE. Actually, now that I think about it, I actually expected something good from Carbon.
I remember I was on an overnight trip with my school when Carbon came out, and I didn't have enough money saved for it... I had to friggin' skip dinner (TWICE) to get the Carbon CE the day it came out, and I didn't get much for it... =(
Downloads are even stupider than that, especially if you have to restore your computer for some reason, not to mention most NFS player's won't/don't have credit cards.

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
Just found out that in the PC version, the car folders for the CE cars have similar size to the folders for the regular cars.
Basically means the CE cars are fully included in the retail version.
FU EA.

Re: Undercover Collector's Edition Upgrade
They're probably going to be locked.
Or even better, we're going to have another Carbon and the cars that are supposed to be there are going to be 'accidentally' locked. -.-
