only Visual or also a bit performance?

this one has the right spoiler and is light blue :D

still looking for stuff but hard to find....
what style do you want?
Thanks mate. Anyway I like that one, although the front spoiler is kinda ugly. I woudn't like anything far different from the stock one..

Visual or performance? Well both lol.
I plan on buying Remus exhaust, and maybe K&N filter. These are not very expensive, and it doesn't require that much work on the car, as far as I know.

What style do I want?

Well the one you posted looks perfect, except for the front spoiler, and rims. I don't want a car to be lowered too much because roads here are awful.
What do you think about OXIGIN SpinStar rims? I know they're very expensive, around 2.000 €, but I really like them.

You could basically say a Carisma is a Dutch Lancer.

Carisma is what was BEFORE the Lancer. ;) It's not a Dutch Lancer, lol.

Kitty, Galant is just a bigger size car, so it's not a Lancer/Carisma as well. The thing that's confusing about Carisma is that it was sold along with Lancer in Europe as well, than discontinued because Lancer was the newer car with and sold good (Carisma didn't, every motor press crusified it for being a unCarismatic and cheap built).

The Rally Carismas (group A afaik) of the early 90's were very solid cars.

So far..

Tigra:

(Guess its called the 'slight' bodykit for a reason..)

Charisma: Nothing.

As of yet, ive only searched two sources. If i were you, Id go for the engine tune rather than a bodykit.

Remus..... Predictable....

every golf, Astra you name it... drives around here with a Sebering or Remus, (much more most of the time sound horrible and I bet will most of the time do nothing (or even make it worse) for your performance....

and that is simply why I'm NOT getting one... Im sticking with a Blitz!

I was looking around for stuff and Yeah I must say stick with the stock front bumper, and fit a nice front spoiler under it :D

as for performance: you can get parts for it but almost only filters and so. but there is more if You seach.
If I where you I would go for the REAL performce parts, good breating... juts Like Grez said!

I still don't know how much money I'll have for upgrading so it all depends on that. Rims are my number one upgrade, then everything else. First the looks than performance. But if I collect enough money till spring, I'll buy everything at the same time.

So what about the Blitz exhaust? How much is it?

By the way, that red Tigra, Grez posted, that front spoiler looks perfect. It's similar to the stock one, but goes lower to the ground. Perfect!

knowing you get the car second hand, you could look for a car wich already has some bodywork done and improve the things you like to change... can safe you money, wich you can spend on other stuff :D

about the Blitz Exhaust .... count on a 200 Euro, if it fits.
I know they make universal versions of it but you never know.
but there are always other brands. (the Exhaust is a dual function:
performance and style what more do you want

Blitz dont do an exhaust for any vauxhall, nor do they do any other parts. they are a strictly japanese only parts manufacturer. Your best bet would be rage, mongoose or scorpion.

Remus and Sebring are just 'stock' exhausts. They aren't made for performance, they just bring out some sound in a 'legal' way, instead of freeflows, which attract cops.

And nice info UrQuattro about the Carisma.

a good free flow Exhaust is within the legal limits, with a few exeptions like track systems.
In the Netherlands there is no max limit for all cars! only a +2 dB above the limit in the car registration.
the average Remus will atrackt more attention from the Law... cause of the car it is used on.....

They cost slightly over £100 for the back box. If you thenget a custom made downpipe, youll save loads on what youd have payed for a blitz full system for example (if they did parts for your car).

http://www.potn.com/default.php/cPath/618_702

Youll find some good stuff there. Im not sure how much the shipping costs are, but I cant imagine them being too pricey.

Hey grez i need an opinion. One of my mates want to get into the tuner scene (yeah like every wants to these days.....). He's had this love for hatchbacks and he's thinkin of buying a 1998 Toyota Starlet. The Starlet was my first car (although i had the 1990 version but it still had some grunt) and i think toyota downgraded the performance in the newer model Starlets (most companys do this)
I just wanna know if the Starlet is a good car to tune.

If its the GT Turbo, its an excellent car to tune. They can quite easily run in the 11's with a little work.

anything.... loads of things... now the problem is what to do...

we are thinking of pushing it to 300 BHP or more :D with a other (stage 2) turbo and a other intercooler and rest... well dunno yet

got ideas??

with engine upgrades is it wise to directly buy a improved suspension upgrade or can that also be done later together with some big rotor brakes (planned for later in the project)

we know it has to have some new wheels (if it hasn't got some):
