I have exactly the same problem. Going to update graphics card drivers and hope for the best.

I experienced this, and some other ppl on the forum too.. Only thing you could do i as mentioned update drivers, or switch to different car or different parts.

I fixed this an odd way. I downloaded new drivers for my card but it still happened. Deleted, re-installed from DVD then cracked the game to run without DVD, and it fixed it. Error in the EA EXE file, by the looks of things.

Lol I tried that and i got some other weird errors

The crash that happened with me i guessed was because i had a 2 lambos in the garage, and i tried modding them similarly. And the funny thing was that it kept getting worse everytime i tried it For instance, first i could select the rim, then change autosculpt parameters of all zones, but the last one. Next time i tried, it crashed at the first zone, then it crashed as soon as i got to the autosculpt zone, and the final, when i simple selected the part.

Lol, well cause the first one was a purchase and the second time was a pink slip choice, and i figured why not sell the lambo i purchased and use the pink slip one.

Well i have the same problem to, i have tried to reinstall the newest video drivers, tried the NoDvD exe but still 9 of 10 times the game freezes when i am in the auto-sculpt. It seems to happen a lot when you are sculpting the wheels, so maybe there is some weird issue with that.

No one with some other idea how to fix this??

now i only will hav some prob , tht the game will freeze or crash ...
when i do the things below ...

change rim & bodykit of 240SX
change rim & bodykit of LP560
chenge rim & bodukit of elise ...

I have the exact same problem(maybe it is just the game) but i cant autosculpt rims for the 240sx

I hav solve the problem about the game will crash or hang when using autosculpt ...
but i doesn't it will work widely or not ...

last time , even i custom my car , there will also crash game ...
(My Fren says mayb use other savefile will cuz crash game)

But now , i ve 0 crash & 0 hang when i custom my car ...
even i try 2 get up & down & adjust the % lot of time ...

i juz set my game 2 all high effect ... resolution : 1280x1024 ...
than the FPS is about 28 ... u can feel the game move lik slow mo ...
but it not juz lik last time is lag ... lag ... lag ...
last time my setting is putting resolution of 640x480 ...
even i put all low/off effect in 640x480 , i get lag of frames also ...

Same here and I have updated everything to the latest Drivers! Oy EA better fix this soon cuz I want to enjoy this game!
