True, but you could modify an MX5 to corner faster than a GT for peanutsKoenigsegg_Rox wrote:No it wouldn't actually.Striker94 wrote:Show it a corner and it'll be slower than a Miata/MX-5...

Re: Favorite Car?
According to Car and Driver, the saleen would beat if not kill the GT on the straight. Both cars aren't even in competition with each other as the Ford GT was aiming more towards the F430 and 911's. Saleen is up there with the Enzo and cars we barely hear everyday.
It would be interesting to see what the ZR-1 would be competing with though. It would be hard to find cars to do comparos with in C/D
EDIT: ZR-1 may be abit slower, but i think it's geared still to more of a daily driver like most corvettes have, and it's faster to 60 than a Saleen S7 TT, and grips a little bit better. I'd take the ZR-1's reliability over any over supercar manly because the city i live near doesn't support low slung rockets

Re: Favorite Car?
I wonder how reliable the ZR1 will actually prove to be? Also, isn't it just as low as most supercars, but without the added bonus of having hydraulic lifting arms fitted to the suspention so it can go over speed humps?donaldgladden wrote:I'd take the ZR-1's reliability over any over supercar manly because the city i live near doesn't support low slung rockets

MOTOR Magazine's US correspondent, and it was an everyday 1/4-miler. Anything longer and the S7 would have killed it.PSZeTa wrote:Proof and over what distance?Koenigsegg_Rox wrote:Not to mention it actually beats the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo in a straight line drag.

A BMW 750Li is more expensive than the GT-R, by half the price.KammyworldRacerGT4 wrote:Totally. A Nissan GT-R, now that's expensive.

Re: Favorite Car?
Erm... it's almost as fast as a Ferrari Enzo around the Top Gear track, one of the fastest cars on the ring... and it costs less than a Porsche 911. It's not cheap... but it's also an achievable car if you're making good money and save a few years, lol. Should get one in no time if you're on an engineering wage.KammyworldRacerGT4 wrote:Totally. Re: Favorite Car?
Even the race versions aren't much faster than a 996 911 GT3 RSR. Which means as light and as quick as they are, they still lag behind lots of very fast supercars.Sharpenor wrote:A better car than all of that, An M3 GTR
