Are all day 1 releases LE or mix of LE and regular?

I've been getting conflicted reports about the day 1 release editions. Some sources say they will all be Limited Edition for the first run and then after they've sold out, regular will replace them (similar to Most Wanted Black Edition) but others are saying both LE and regular will be available on day 1. What is the definitive answer? Reason I ask is I have a friend that works at Staples that might snag a copy for me with his employee discount.

All pre ordered copies are meant to be LE, but im not sure about shops, because you don't pre order there, you go after its released and buy.
