Hi guys
Found this program that emulates a Xbox 360 controller
and maps that to the wheel
links at bottom
I can already get my Logitech "driving force gt" to work with all buttons and pedals
but not fine movement steering.
2 ways i made it use the wheel unsuccessfully was to use the Logitech mapper to maps left and right to
steer left and right, all i got was at 90 degree turn of the wheel it would go left or right, no fine movement
(eg: 10degree = 10 degree turn etc)
the other was with the 360 controller emulator
also got all buttons and pedals working but the wheel only controls fine movement of the camera behind the car
or the right toggle stick from the 360 controller
not the left one we need for steering
can someone in the know look into this and try get it working
if they/you can get it working post back and you will be a GOD
all we really need is a way to use the left toggle of the 360 controller
and maybe separate axis for pedals as the range is from 0-65530 (65530 being flat 1 pedal and 0 being flat other pedal again) (30000ish being no pedal press) So drifting you have to off the accelerator and brake on then back again
separate axis would be good, but can probably do that in game profiler
link = code google com/p/x360ce/downloads/list
(apparently my post looks too spammy for me a new user to this forum, so i have to post link the hard way, please insert "." in the spaces
this is the download list, you only really need the 2nd one from the bottom

Re: steering wheel support with 360 emulator
ok i found some more stuff, seems a few others are working on it
i have yet to make a successful working set, but i'm working on it and will post my config files once fully working
in the x360ce.ini file add this code to replace the options and inputhook areas
[Options]
Version=1
[InputHook]
HookLL=0
HookCOM=1
HookSA=0
HookWT=0
HookDI=1
HookPIDVID=1
HookName=0
someone has also posted this
Need for Speed: Rivals (HookCOM + HookDI + HookVIDPID) (uses xinput9_1_0.dll) (32bit and 64bit executables, always uses 64bit on 64bit OS)

Re: steering wheel support with 360 emulator
I was able to get the x360ce drivers working with a G25, see the following post:

Because I'm a new user and can't post links, you will have to replace the spaces in the link with dots.
