This is ridiculous, they (every company) should make PC games FIRST, and then release those lousy ps2/xbox games. Even though I do have xbox, it would finally be cool to see PC games come out first...

if this was right, Rockstar would have announced it but nobody said that at all, see this..
Buried (somewhat) in Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive's third quarter 2004 financial results is mention that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is indeed planned, and expected to be released in the third quarter of 2005
and they also mentioned that the third quarter is from the beggining of june to the end of august.

and btw all the gta series for pc (vc & 3 ) were announced in may so IAM NOT WORRIED AT ALL :P

as much as you dont want to bellieve it, it's alot easier to pirate computer games, if i were head a major corp id put my ps2 ahead of my pc. also no way wil it be a year, thats stupid. just because sa took longer to make doesnt mean it'll take an extra 6 months to convert to pc... think about what your saying

Morty wrote:It went 2 years between the release of Vice City and the release of San Andreas (PS2). This means SA will be a bigger leap from VC, than VC was from GTA3. And that will probably mean the time required to make the PC version of SA will be longer than the time required for VC. So instead of 6 months, they need a year...
I dont think its about time at all, if it was, they should have made the PC version from along time, i think its about the profits, they want to make the best selling profits to the PS2 version, then release the PC version after it by 6 months to make another profits of the game. i think they are already working on the PC version. and btw I HAVE A CONFIRMATION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE.
The Internet Movie Database is reporting that San Andreas will have a PC version date of May 15, 2005. The IMDB has been known to be a reliable site, but keep some doubt until this information comes directly from a Rockstar press release. Also note that their PS2 version is still listed as October 19th. We send thanks to Jasonlives for this piece of news.
see that?, he got the confirmation
the month is incorrect also
and WTF is this?? ---VC and GTA3 were published in May

Qyntel: I know what I'm saying, I was just trying to find a reason why they could be needing more time. As I said, I hope I'm wrong. And I wasn't the one who originally said it would be a year, I just copied the quote from a different forum.

Skyline_man: Yeah, but May 15th is STILL a Sunday, no matter how you twist or turn it. So it can't be released on that date. IMDb is a great site, but the guys who find info are only human. As long as R* doesn't say anything about the date, noone can know for sure.

I just went in to IMDb to see for myself, and I found this:
USA - October 26th 2004
Netherlands - October 29th 2004
Sweden - October 29th 2004
UK - October 29th 2004

Thats the release dates pf PS2 version, whats wrong?
and about the release day, i think they can release the game on another day, i mean if 15/5 is a sunday, maybe they can post it on monday 16/5 , is there a problem in that?

No, there's no problem in that, except the rumours have said 15, not 16, and that means those rumours are wrong...

some news for australians :)
GTA: San Andreas Officially Rated MA15+ in Australia

With under a month to go until the worldwide release of GTA: San Andreas, the rating for the Australian version of the game has finally been revealed. The MA 15+ moniker will be present on the cover of all copies sold in the region.

Perhaps more interestingly, however, are the details included with its classification. The Australian Government's Office of Film & Literature Classification's own website gives a little insight into the almost certain censorship of the game. While ESRB (North America) gave the game descriptions of "Intense Violence" and "Strong Language", the Australian version will feature "Medium Level Animated Violence" and "Medium Level Coarse Language".

as yu know im an aussie, and youd think that Morty wouldnt you - i have 4 crocks annd was wrestling them on my kangaroo bout 15 mins ago haha, but australia has the tightest game law ever...
you heard bout that game postal? well we never got that, manhunt is being taken off the selves and all our gta's have been cut... its not a big deal about gta being cut - i had a german version of vice and a few scenes in the porno store were taken out oh and the hookers but no one really cared.

i read on CodenameGTA (love that site) that the reason we (aussies) have tighter laws is because we dont have a rating higher than MA, which is funny because if you ever get a chance to watch aussie tv is pretty rough after 9pm, pretty much any thing you wanna say u can

hehe you forgot to mention that you were drinking VB and watching Bathurst at the same time . . .

I think that we don't have 'R' ratings because it wouldn't stop parents from buying the games for their kids. Most parents let their kids watch and play whatever they want.

very true mate, i also read on that site that the reason gta 3 was taken back off the selves way back in the day was because some woman bought a copy for her four year old son give or take, and she saw the hookers then called up, complained and won as it would seem. but fantsy buying gta for your 4 year old... hookers or not she's has got to be crazy

Qyntel: Well, I had a feeling not all of you were Crocodile Dundees... :P I've heard some stuff about the Australian laws (not only on rating), and they're kinda harsh I think...
Anyway, I didn't know you actually got censored games down there... I learn stuff every day... :)

i dont understand how they can release the full version non-censored "manhunt" yet they cut out a few little bits out of "VC" that really arnt that bad compared to the stuff that was in manhunt. i understand that its been taken off the shelves but you can still hire it at my local blockbuster. what is going on? i certainly hope the Version of SA that is relised in australia isnt cencored or at least dont miss out on anything good.

from what i understand, SA wont be cut, i guess if there are hookers; they'll go but everything else is medium level (violence ect) so Theoretically the games commish would cut it just enough to make it high level otherwise there wouldnt be a high level... haha Very confussing try stay with me

yeah, thats cool, as far as i know i dont think VC had any of its 'violent' aspects cut, but yeah little things like lap dance's and hookers? i just hope they dont ruin the game, i'd hate to be playing it and here on the net about all these things i CAN't do on my version because its been cut *sigh* hope it all works out for us aussie boys!

I'm not gonna get more into the Aussie stuff (mainly because I live on the other side of the planet)...
Anyway, yesterday a couple of new teaser sites were put up (eXsorbeo and West Coast Rap Legends).

The rest seems to be a bit older, but I didn't know about them until bobyx posted the urls on the chat earlier today... :)

Here they are:
Maccer.net
The Epsilon Program
Cluckin' Bell
Fear It? Do It!
eXsorbeo
West Coats Rap Legends
