It has potential, yes, but it absolutely sucks stock ... I was so disappointed in my friend's '03 Sunfire ... J-Bodies have, quite possibly, the worst interiors ever ... Everything rattles ... EVERYTHING ... even with the crappy stock system barely going (not even into distortion) ... The ignition is the most annoying ignition I've ever used ... My friend still can't get the keys out of the ignition within 30 seconds most of the time and neither can I ... The pedals are in awkward positions and the pedal feel is poor (clutch has a weird feeling, brakes far too sensitive, and gas is just completely messed up) ... There's very little room despite the size of the vehicle ... I also found the shifter to be stiff and awkward as well (esp. that pull up to reverse thing) ... Handling I found to be poor ... Rear visibility is poor ... And reliablity ... Oh god, that thing has been in for warranty work every month ...

I know a few people who have souped up J-Bodies in Auto-X that are very competitive, though, and I've heard you can make some decent power pretty cheap ...

Also, the Cavvy's taillights are absolutely atrocious ...

Mitsubishi GTO is not the 3000GT... body styling is different... power is better on GTO in reality... irrelevant to the game... GTO looks 100 times better than 3000GT!!!!

If the 3000gt in that pic didn't have the wide rear arches it could pass as an nsx to someone unfamiliar with them, and yes the GTO absolutely owns the 3000GT

I'd like more euro's in the game, and max power is a great mag to refer to.

it would be nice to see a few aussie cars in there too like a ford fpv or holden hsv ( yes i know the gto pontiac is a aussie made and desighnd car ) but say somthing like the ford gt or hsv gts even the xr8 persuit ute or maloo r8 ute would be nice but this is coming from an aussie and i know these cars arnt really known internationally but it would be nice to cruise around in a hsv gts with a standard power of 300kw at the flywheel . come on even ppl that aint seen one 300kw sounds nice as a standard dont it

All these years, I've seen Aussie's saying, "utes, also known as trucks in America" and assuming they were actually trucks ... That's as much a truck as an El Camino

I think you're wrong dude... In the game, the 3000GT doesn't have pop-up headlights... I even did a search on Google, and none of the 3000GT I saw doesn't have pop-up headlights. Instead you're going the opposite way. The GTO should have pop-up headlights, not the 3000GT. But in your attachment, the 3000GT has pop-up headlights, not the GTO.

Well, In the racing scene here (Spain), I can assure you that neither the Corsa nor the 106 are popular cars..., on my part I own a riced Alfa Romeo 156 and I would give my left arm to see it in the game. Tho' I know it isn't a commonly tuned car anywhere.

Cars I would like to see in the game (apart from the ones missing from NFS1):

My Alfa 156, Seat Leon Cupra FR, Opel/Vauxhall Astra/Tigra, Toyota Celica (Older Model), Toyota MR2 Spyder, Mazda 323 f, Volkswagen Corrado (Jetta), Honda Civic Type R, Chrisler Crossfire, and mebbe a Dodge Viper (I just looove that car)

Also, It would be neat to add some bonus car (or stage boss) in the form of an american muscle car (Ala Fn'F), a Dodge Charger or a 68 plymouth cuda would do.

Here is another thought, with the addition of SUV's and such, it would have been nice to see the PT Cruiser. Not the prettiest of cars, but it gets a large amount of attention these days, would have been a nice addition to the SUV's in game.

With the addition of SUVs, I thik It would have been a great idea to offer the user some more to choose from: GMC, Nissan, Lexus...

Just 3 of 'em ends up becoming boring.

1989 mustang 5.0 (stock engine can go up to about say 450 FWHP
(probably has the most readily available ready-to-install parts of any car on the market, ever.)
Camaro (lol... no idea of the stock engine potential, but due to other camaro related problems, i'd say about the same as the mustangs 450 FWHP (and so we dont have chevy/ford owners up in arms... lol)

Higher level
2003 Mustang Cobra.... somthing near 1000 hp power potential...
Trans-am... No Friggen Idea ^_^

Trucks (who doesnt see a bunch of slammed trucks driving around? mybe its just my city lol... and they can actually drive, unlike fat SUV's especially the lowered ones.)

FYI, the 3000GT and the GTO *are* exactly the same car. 3000GT is the name it was imported into the USA under, GTO is what it was called in the rest of the world. There were also Dodge and Plymoth versions of them with slight visual changes, but same car in addition to the Eclipse also being rebadged as the Eagle Talon (Dodge Stealth = 3000GT = GTO / Plymouth Laser = Eclipse = Talon). Try a little harder in your research and you would have known that you posted pictures of different year models. The popup headlights were the original body style, later restyled to the normal lights.

Hold up, my silliness detector's just pegged its maxium. The Eclipse and FTO share nothing in common, are different cars, and weren't even sold on the same continents. The biggest engine the FTO got was a 24-valve V6 at 200hp and only ever came in FWD flavors, the Eclipse has only ever had an inline four banger with about 205/210hp and came in an AWD form with the GSX. The Eclipse is also USDM only, they're built in a plant in Illinois.

okay. you go do all the research on all the cars, I'll play the game, hows that? I mean really. Am I going to sit around and argue... 3000GT in Japan was the rebranding of the GTO. GTO was the original, 3000GT came later. The flip up lights are from the GTO, and the one in U2 is the 3000GT. I did get the pictures mixed up, but I prefer the older GTO than the new 3000GT. In essence they are the same car, but the body shapes are different.

Bottom line - there's a car called a 3000GT in U2 and I'm going to go and drive it. Have a nice day. sheesh.

i can personally name quite a few "euro's" that are missing. and boy is that a long list.

Ford Escort RS Cosworth (not a common car, but it tends to clean up. wish i could replace my own Escort with one)
Ford Escort RS2000 (not in production anymore the Escort, the Focus has replaced them but there are still many cars around and the Focus is butt ugly in compairson imo)
Seat Leon (the TDi model is sick, 200 hp turbocharged Diesel ?!?)
Peugeot 406
Peugeot 306
Toyota Celica/Supra older models
Opel Astra
Opel Vectra
VW Polo (dont ask me why people like this box)
Citroen Saxo
and countless other "classics"

now, the "Scene" vary from country to country, we got a lot of German build cars up here in Denmark.

Peugeot's arent that good despite what some people belive, its a typical french car. it looks good, it appears to be good but its reiability and technical quality is second rate at best. gimme a Ford any day, atleast you know the engine wont stop running because the weather aint right.

oh and by the way to the people on the other side of the pond, its not that box on wheels you call a escort im talking about. its this one. the models from the early 90's (dubbed Mark 5b same model as in the link) fits my taste best, its not the fastest car nor is it the most visually pleasing car you can get. but if you know how to drive it you can beat cars like the Golf GTi. (a feat i have pulled myself many times now)

boy, i whould love to have one of those babies to play with. oh well the Hyundai Coupe/Hyundai Tiburon will have to do until then.

The only thing original about the GTO is that it is the original name. They are the same car (other than the badges, and not sure about minor interior trim differences). Both were originally availble in '91. Your picture of the GTO is after the restyle, the 3000GT pic is of the original bodystyle. Original GTOs look just like your 3000GT pic, and restyled 3000GTs look just like your GTO pic. Perhaps you are thinking about the Dodge Stealth, with IS STILL the same car, with minor styling differences (the equivelant of a bodykit).

Please feel free to enlighten yourself here.

I'm quite enjoying U2 (I am a game reviewer, got mine free), but I also enjoy driving my yellow '92 Dodge Stealth TT of which I am the original owner (chose it over a mitsu cause I like the look better).

BTW, I would like to apologize for the bone-headed statement I made about the FTO. I have taken what I thought was true for some years now at face value, as I was told by a supposedly knowledgable friend that FTO=Eclipse. I never checked it out, as I already knew (for real) for some years that GTO=3000GT... drew a conclusion (that turned out false) and assumed (another case of never assume anything). Now I can be mad at myself for making an idiotic statement hehe. Thanks for the prod to make me look at that and learn something (my motto is, "Learn at least 1 new thing every day, or the day is wasted."). I cleaned the erronous information out of my previous post.

Sentra <-> replace it with a R32, R33, NSX anybody?

Golf <-> Any Beemer would do nicely!

A3 <-> Take the A4.

All SUV's <-> Replace them with some american cars. (principal is the same, Big, thristy and have a difficult time cornering

. Altough straight line is nice)

That would be a nice addition in my book.
