I bought NFSU2 without even seeing a screenshot from NFSU1, would it be worth my time and $20 to get NFSU1?

no...you'll be happy with NFSU2. There is a vague plot line between the two stories which never interested me at all.

Dont buy

i think NFSU1 is way better than NFSU2, IMO theres nothing that interesting in NFSU2, and the free roam gets on my nerves

nfsu1 has better parts than nfsu2.
You should re-sell nfsu2 and get nfsu1 (and you will gain money in addition)

go to the store and say that the nfsu2 cd is broken... bla bla. :D

Well, I personaly think that NFSU1 was much more fun as it was the first in its kind at the time. As U2 has come out without many more changes I havnt felt the same kind of thrill in it.
Thus if NFSU2 is your first custimization game, you wont be able to enjoy U1 like we (the ppl who played it before U2) did.

You don't have to be particularly old to be married. I believe that in the UK you can wed at 16? Not sure about other countries though.

SPARCO is damn close to guessing/knowing my age... it is 24... birthday 27 november... so 24 just yet.
and am not married :P

now back to topic.

NFS U1 had some better parts and options... still wondering why they removed them, for instance the special hatchback spoilers... and the hood decals... what was up with that... but overall th gfx of U2 is better... just a little!

NFS U1 had a good fun rate simply cause it was a new thing...
and it has a better story

I only miss a few of the kits, vinyls, and cars from U1. U2 is much more satisfying, with modes like Free Roam to blast around in. The handling is more challenging, and the AI can really give you a run for your money. The attempt to connect the two storylines interested me for about 5 secs after the career opening video, and that was it.

And as I'm only 18 and have no girlfriend, I don't see the fuss about a married guy playin' a video game...

yeah...I'm having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the difference in handling though...the cars on U2 handle way different than their U1 counterparts...at least to me...and in my opinion if NFSU2 had actual cutscenes like NFSU1 did...it would kick way more ass...that comic book crap sucks...I quite reading comic books in the 7th grade
