Yeah Prescotts are hot.
Quiet: 55ºC
After playing games: 60ºC
After running Seti@Home for hours (100%CPU) : 65ºC
The fan speed is always about 2700-3200 rpm

I have a AMD 64 3000 Processor, Socket 939.
The stock speed is 1800 Mhz. First, it was overclocked @ 2347 Mhz. I noticed it being too hot. The idle temperature was around 46 degrees Celcius, and stressed at 55 degrees Celcius. Now it's underclocked again at 2250 Mhz.
I was in a hurry though, and didn't do it in steps. So it might go higher, even at this voltage.
Edit:
Great.
I've done it in steps now. It's 2461 Mhz now, with the same voltage and temperature.

No, CRT, no can do... My desk is too small for a CRT, I could be able to have a 19" LCD for $310. I wanted to ask which is better to buy first. The monitor or the computer. It's a Celeron 1.8 and a Radeon 9250. I know I know, the AMD beats the crap out of Celerons... But It's the best I could get under $300...

i love my 15" philips CRT that i got from 7 years ago, i think it is a great monitor, the colors are nice and rich, and everythign is clear, however im noticing the monitor is starting to die, the colors are freakin me out, id say get a 17" LCD cause for a 19" you'd need a higher resolution just to make things seem normal again, and that would just require more out of your video card, if you buy that celeron for that much you might as well dump it in the dumpster, cause thats a POS, id say collect like 600 or 700 bucks and then just get like a athalon 64 3000+, 512mb ram, 6600gt, mid sized case, any mother board will do, 40gb HDD or 80? you can take the old cd drives from your pc and put them in there, and youre practicaly set.
You don't get it... I can't collect money. I don't have any allowance, I don't even own a penny... And I already Have a 17 inch. There WAS a good 19" monitor that was excellent for gaming, but it didn't have a DVI slot.
For a computer I can only have UNDER $325, and all that money comes from my parents...
