I dont believe it will, since the game will come out to PC (if it did) in mid 2008. I believe that your video card will be ancient by then.

Although i am not a console gamer, i might get a PS3 this fall. I cant keep upgrading my PC every year.

Traitor!!!

:P

So, other than using a different engine and a totally different city to roam around, what exactly does GTA IV have to offer? I got bored of San Andreas pretty quickly since it was so repetitive and other than having a huge area (which most of was useless), it didn't offer anything new and exciting...

You need to read the previews and mags to know what GTA IV has to offer, but lets just say that it will change the gaming world, like when GTA III first came out.

I read the previews, the scans of the magazines...as far as I am concerned, GTA IV doesn't really have much to offer other than prettier graphics...(maybe I'm just ignorant...meh)

You wont here about the PC version before February (if there is going to be one).

The next trailer is supposed to be shown at E3 in June.

No new news?....somehow it suddenly feels as if the game progress has reached a standstill.
Also i think the trailer that will be shown at the E3, will be of the demo; showing some shooting, and him walking around & climbing things :P

Yeah, I think you are ignorant.

- Now instead of you just answering calls on the phone, you can call people as well.
- You can enter any building, with no loading times
- practically anything can be manipulated, climbing poles, etc.
- People chat normally on the street, read newspapers, etc.

Ha ha...ignorant, nice one. It's called being realistic. Ooooo noes....you can enter buildings with no loading times.....oooooo noes.....people chat normally on the street....etc....etc... You call these next gen features......please....

Until they announce full multiplayer and you're gonna be able to roam around the city online...it's still the same ol' GTA with updated graphics....which (from the 2nd trailer) greatly disappoint...

Im a GTA fanboy but honestly, from the latest trailer I didnt feel as excited as I was when I saw the first one. i kinda felt it was like the same thing ( GTA SA ) with another storyline, new member...etc., with just better graphics.

I just hope that the advancement players interaction's with the environment lives upto its hype. :|

You crack me up.

it's R*, anything can happen.

They are next gen features. See any other game with stuff like that? I sure don't.

Maybe you should give us some more ideas other than the multiplayer thing?

That same ol' GTA is the same ol' good GTA. That's what I'm thinking.

Being a big fan of the GTA series (I even have the old posters from the first game) i am a little concerned by what the game is going to offer and that it may stick to the mantra of "If ain't broke, don't fix it". Yes, it looks shiney, but spectacle can only offer so much when the core functionality of any game is gameplay and if that's taken a back seat over the visuals I will be greatly dissappointed (as is the case in many of today's games).

I've always admired how the missions in GTA were structured, making if feel more non-linear than many other games, but R* don't seem to want to fully realise the potential of that feature. I mean giving the player the oppertunity to wander around through a story via many routes, rather then beating your way through one single path, would be a very intersting way to structure narrative, plots, etc into the game.

I am still going to buy it of course, but I can't help but feel there may be a bitter after taste.
