Grip racing sucks. The best Grip car for me is actually the M3 E95.
Speed is alright, real easy. My best speed car is the Skyline R34.
Drift is easy again. -_-* Silvia and Charger R/T.
And the drag is easy as well. I get Incredible or Max grip all the time.

I reckon this game is mad awesome, especially drag racing. I pwn in my 65 GTO even though its only got 555BHP.

Got some gripes about the game tho:

1) Split between modes is too big. For example, a car in drag mode automatically has big back wheels and small front wheels, a car in drift mode automatically has ultra torque and no grip. I think in ProStreet 2 you should have to actually buy drift/drag/grip tyres and tune parts for power/torque. That way you could use your grip car for drag in an emergency when the drag car is totalled.

2) They originally said damage would affect each part individually, but that didn't happen. Also that repairs could be done to each part seperately plus duct tape repairs for bumpers, etc.

3) They said they would reduce the rice factor by making aftermarket brand vinyls and decals only available if you own that part. That was cut.

4) Replays would be sweet. They were cut.

5) The same 4 hoods available for all cars. Need better/more hoods. Nice spoiler selection tho.

That may seem like I'm dissing the game but I really like it. Just some areas for improvement in my opinion.

The games okay, a little to sensative in the steering department, drift mode sucks, lot easier to drift in real life and in forza 2, why is the max speed only 250, why cant i use one car for all the modes, got to buy 3 rx7 when I use only 1 in real life.

Other then that the games pretty easy, except for drift mode.
How can you stand the Boing of a Piston to the Hum of a Rotary.

Yeah I love the game, but it would be nice to be able to have 3 or 4 different setups for 1 car, i.e. Grip, Drag, Drift, Speed - otherwise I'm lovin it

To any that read this these are but one persons opinions, agree or disagree but please do not turn this in to an all out e-battle.

Alright, well I really hate to be a stick in the mud on this one but this game has been a huge let down since the moment I installed it. I'm not really sure where to start in all of this, I guess the handling of the game is the best place to start. I've seen better car control out of a Nintendo. The drift control and physics are such a sham it's not even funny. It's so sad to see this huge company screw up on so many details. EA should get in contact with the guys whole made Live For Speed. Three guys with minimal funs managed to produce better game physics than a multi-million dollar gameing company. And not to mention all of the details that are missing just so they could make the GFX look better. Things like Camber, when I negative the camber I would like to see my wheels move out to show me I have done something, when I lower the PSI in my drag tires I would like to see some air out of those.

Next comes the essence of Need for Speed, the first two Need for Speed's were the best every produced when it came to car customization. I watched a few of the preview videos and they went on and on about it making it out to be better than any other NFS out their but I mean come on... 3 crappy looking body kits and 1 super crappy wide body kit for every car in the game, and don't get me started on the autosculpt. Back in the day you had 1000's of parts and could customize everything from your lights, to your neons to even the system in the back of your car.

On to the tracks, they are very beautiful but I want a drift track, not a drift line. Or even an autocross track. I know they tried to change it up to make it so your still street racing but in a safe way but once again something removed from the other NFS games which made them so good.

The addition of new car's is great along with some old school american mussle was a bonus. They are very well crafted and modeled to top spec which is very nice to see.

But all in all this game couldn't score more than a 4 out of 10 on my board to me the frist two are the best and with the way EA is taking this game it seems they will stay the best for along time to come. Next time I hope they take a page out of the NFS 1/2 books and maybe hire the guys who made Live For Speed while their at it

Live for Speed : Simulation
Need for Speed : Arcade/Simulation

They can't just jump straight from arcade into a simulation game. think about the arcade fans :)

Really they should have learnt some things from Polyphony Digital if they wanted a Simulation.

What's wrong with the AutoSculpt? It was perfect on Carbon and so they kept a good feature and expanded on it by actually using it to affect your car's aerodynamics. And plus, people can completely bypass custom visual mods if you don't like them, just concentrate on performance and racing. The problem with too many visual mods is, the player mainly spends way too much time on customising and nearly zilch on racing.

Gotta agree with you there, the drifting in Carbon was shiznit, and so I'm not really expecting this to be better.

Actually, just to correct you on something, the first two Need for Speeds were created what, 10, 15 years ago? They didn't have customisation, just pure racing. Underground 1 and 2 weren't released until 2003 and 2004 respectively, I'm pretty sure. They were the 7th and 8th games in the series.

I know and I am sure most people know that I ment U/U2 and yes some people spent to much time with the looks of their car but that's what made it fun was to create something unique. Now you ahve 3 kits and 1 widebody and their is only so much you can do to each with the autosculpt.

And yeah LFS is more sim but you would think they would have put a little more effort in to the drift part of it, I mean I drifted one and every time I got close to a wall the game would push me away from it, even with it on Race King it wouldn't let me crash the bugger. Not that you want to crash but if I make a mistake I don't want to be helped out of it.

I mean a little extra work would have made this so much better, for the hype that went in to it we arn't getting much out.

i'd say the semi-simulation of prostreet is great and i really like it, but for sure if they bring back the replay, the game's gonna be even better. :D

drag's awesome, especially wheelies. obviously drift comes a bit easier this year, which is fun, but not that kind of realistic. seems NFS has not found out a perfect way making drift mode yet.

1. Grafics ar realy god i play in 1680x1050 =D>

2. Handling is also god i play with logitech G25 =D>

3.The story or concept are realy boring, you drive track after track after track and so on... i get pretty board after a few tracks. I miss the free roaming and the races in the streets. Now it's just another boring racesimulator like all racesimulators. The free roaming was what made NFS unik i think. So i hope they take that back in next NFS.

Best regards Peter from Sweden.

66% through the game.

DRAG - Get yourself a GT500 (new shape) for drag. It was the second drag car I owned and I killed the competition, even the Drag King was easy to beat.

DRIFT - Had a Supra for Drift but, wish I got the Drfit Kings car (RX-7) sooner! I bow down to the RX-7! Not as easy to handle but it has good power and give you more angle in your drifts.

GRIP- I've shelled out way too much money looking for the perfect grip car. Had the Evo (nice power and handling but not enough traction in the corners), Skyline (same as Evo), Porsche 911 GT2 (not too bad all round), Elise (magic inthe corners but lacking power), 350Z (really cool but a bit tail happy). I'm now trying out the BMW E92 M3. Seems like a great all rounder. Undecided here...

SPEED - I won a free car from the car lot early on so natrually I was drawn to the $750 000 Zonda :P Its hella fast but, dang is it twitchy!!! I shelled out a lot of cash on it and it's a big disapointment. Unless you are getting 40+ frames, it's nearly impossible to finish top 3 on a speed challenge in the Nevada desert. The challenges later on in the game are more Speed challenge and because I don't have a fast PC, I dont get good frame rates and so I am kind of stuck at 66% :|

omg, I just had the most biggest disappointment form the game .. I waited so unpatient the R34 unlock so I could buy it for the Grip, when I did, I found out that is below my expectations, why does it understeer so much?! I spent 1hr trying to make it corner like his little brother(240sx) couldn't get ay near of that .. don't know what's wrong with it, but I sold it :( and decided to go further on with the 240sx's tuning, now half of stage 4 and it still goes around track impecable. Skyline R34 - big disappointment this year(for Grip races) .. still, if any of you found a suitable Grip mode for it, please shoot with it.

and you can't drift it. sad, ea, sad. and the only way to win the time attack race against ryo is to stay in front of him and block him. and why does the sylvia suck at drifting?

My thoughts for pro street was excellent very long career normally i complete NFS in 1 day when i get it, car list is great, except pretty much the same bodykits from carbon except its great how i can autoscuplt the stock kits they really look better imo. :D Vinyl system is better and the graphics are way way better hope they use it on the next NFS or even better. A few bugs/glitches but over time or soon there will be a patch for all those types of things also its just released so i don't care.

My rating: 9/10 :)

Gavh2, sad that you found the zonda not for you, but maybe you chose the wrong class for it, it's a perfect grip car, handles like a dream, especially at ultra high speed, I lap almost everyone (including real players) online on the 3 lap autoban track. If you need money, go to nfs planet and get the money editor, then you can try out all cars with all settings to find the perfect match. But purely for the fun, I would advise you to use the money editor after you completed the game.

All 4wd cars in real life understeer to an extend, with the exception of the new audi r8 according to Jeremy Clarkson. Did you try tuning the suspesion, did it not help at all? I think you shouldn't be too disappointed because I can tell you the Zonda is perfect for grip and drag racing, they only thing you need is lots of money, see my post above on how to get money.

thanks for the reply. I did tuned the suspension .. only the suspension for an whole hour, with not too many improvements. Anyway, thanks for the Zonda tip, but I'm not going to put my money on those types of cars. no supercars in my garage .. well I did recently bought the NSX for the speeds, Supra is for drag, Silvia is ruling the drifts and the little Nissan is doing the grips, all staged 4(how long, I have no idea). As you see it's a full japanese garage :)

WOW this game is >>>>>>SHeTTY<<<<<
a lil breakdown:
i played it for 30 minutes after installation
very impressive graphics and cars and all, my favorite car is there blah blah blah

now i also have NFSU and NFSU2
and if i rated graphics, controls, fun
it would be NFSU 5, 10, 8
NFSU2 6,7, 5
NFS prostreet would be 10,3,4
i mean theres no other game that i played that made me with that whole controls programming team got fired instantly because PC controls suck bumbum obviously the game was made for a controller like ps2 or box or whatever with variable control and all but noone ever bothered to adjust it for keyboard

so what happends?
i tap the left arrow car goes straight i tap it few times and it still goes straight
i hold it and car goes to the side almost instantly
how ami supposed ot play like that i cant even make it one lap

now some people might say i jsut suck at this game but unfortunately i dont i played NFSU on hardest level and went thur the game like knife thru butter so im not a noob...

with badass graphics like that its really embarassing.

Hi people, new here... :D

Like all of the members before said, the Pro Street is no where near the Underground 1/2... Personally my favorite is Underground 2... The best combination would be a fusion of Underground 2 and Carbon, but it's not up to us... I'm playing the game on my laptop, which is barely running the game... I'm playing it on min details and 640x480 res... But I'm doing fine so far... Here's my views on the cars, hope it helps someone...

DRAG - My first drag car was a Cobalt SS... and first 2-3 races were easy... Later, I couldn't win, the Gustavo Demetrius always beat me by a 1-2 seconds... During the game, I got the hold of the free car card... I got me a Zonda... =D> Currently almost maxed out, just need to buy better suspension, and it's 100% done. My record so far is 7.49, but I always miss one gear... regularly... The Wheelie Competition is great stuff, managed 349 m with the nitro when the nose started lowering...

DRIFT - My first drift car is still my drift car... a Pontiac GTO... Call me crazy, but this car is a dream on drifting... In the game at least... And it even isn't tuned to the max... The toughest races are in Tokyo Harbour, way narrow tracks... Currently my best drift perofrmance is 6445 points, can't remember the track...

GRIP- Like the member few posts abouve (from whom I borrowed this style of car analasys... ), I too spent too much money looking for the perfect grip car. Can't even remember all the cars, but I had the 350Z (not bad, but later on became slow compared to other cars), had 2 other cars, than had the GT-R Proto (avoid it, I mean it... That car can't steer... It has massive HP, great acceleration, but it can't steer, it's like a tow truck on the track... towing a car... [-X )... the current car is a Corvette C6... So far had the luck, but the car isn't recommended, great handling though...

SPEED - My first speed car is still active, a GT500 Shelby, and I do have the Viper Coupe, but the GT500 Shelby is doing great so far, not on all the tracks, but it's tough and it looks cools with a wide body... :P

That's my car selection, and it got me through 45% of the game...

And, just for reference, I'm playing on a keyboard, though I have a gamepad... I don't have the time to plug it in... :P

And here's my car selection..

GRIP: My second car after the S13 is the Evo X. It performs well from stage 1-2, from stage 3-4 it perform better.. lol.. but too fast is also dangerous

DRIFT:I tried a few car with this mode, Shleby GT500, Corolla, Silvia, S13, RX-7, and to me the best 2 is the RX-7 and Silvia. The s15 is good at drifting but for higher angles i prefer the rx-7..

SPEED:Im using the murcielago for now, zonda is too hard for me.. lol..at stage 4 the murcielago handles better than zonda..

DRAG: I use Dodge Charger for drag, at stage 4 suspension it can go wheelie for the full length of the track and fastest time for 1/4 mile i think is 7.11 . but when it comes to nevada drag its abit hard coz the car tend to lose control coz of the bumpy road..

I am rather disappointed with it.
I have all the NFS series from the first and this would be the only one I am not happy with or have become addicted to until I finish the game. I find it more like the game my son plays (forza) than any NFS series I have played.
I miss the driving around, I miss like hell the cops. They were good fun to hassle (until you get busted that is LOL).
But in general this series of NFS has not pleased me like previous ones.

The game simply rules. Its far far better than all the NFS I have ever owned. (I have from NFSHP2 till present game) Car list is awesome, tracks are great. There are some things I don't like, especially the vinyl system. Too much vinyls (I'm not complaining about the amount) but to remeber which numer is relative to the vinyl or decal you'll have to be a genious. Any idea please where to get a full list with pictures of all the vinyls and decals.

My rating for the game... 8+

I want my money back. This is quite possibly the worst driving game Ive ever played.

Id rather have spent the 30quid on a copy of Mario Cart and a SNES to play it on.

Its going back tomorrow.

Yeah I'm trying to get through the game before trying all the cheats but I'm stuck with these speed challenges. I just cannot get through them :( Thanks for the heads up though!
