torrents rule, i knew that i should wait for the morning, just woke up, and now i have ~450kb.s ... 30mins to wait

any afterthoughts?

Just installed it and played it. I don't think I'm going to get it. My computer can barely run it so I could not properly enjoy the new graphics, physics and details. Too bad. I was really looking forward to this.

450 kb/ps! = 30 min waittime. I'll just go play something else.

Right now demo is at 25% and 22 mins left. D/L rate stuck at 457.5

I remember trying to D/L it yesterday, and I got like: "Yay, 10kb/ps! Just Eig-.... Errr... EIGHT HOURS?!"

too bad i cant get higher then 1280x1024 becaus my screen resolution is 1400x1050 so there is not a custom screenresolution..

how unbelievably annoying is the fact that i canÂ´t run the demo smoothly
i still get about 20fps no matter what settings i use
i have vista 32 ultimate
hd2900xt 512mb
amd x2 4400+
2.5gb ddr2 ram

Im hoping they can somehow fix the vista performance, but somehow i doubt it.

One thing's for sure, games which supports Vista won't run smooth. Period.

i have the same problem as you
only i have hd2600xt 256mb
3gb ddr2 ram.......and i get 15 fps
i hope that the full version will work much better then the demo

Finished downloading the demo in abt 3 hrs...here is my review..

Game play wise the car does feel quite heavy, and like nothing ever before. There is certainly that sim-racing feeling..but i still found it tough to spin the car, although there was tons of understeer with both cars.

Damage is just perfect..way better than i expected from nfs series. The cars are sensitive to slight impacts, but the totaling of cars doesn't seem real enough.

Graphics are pretty detailed and everything. The awesome part is that i am able to run it on all-high settings, and anti-aliasing 4x and still get about 35-45 fps. Smoke is as cool as expected ..and unbelievably there was NO FRAME DROP WHEN THERE WAS LOADS OF SMOKE!!

The only bugging part is the cameras.

My system -
Core2duo E6600 @ 2.8 Ghz
2GB corsair DDR 2 ram
EVGA 7900 GTX overclocked
bla..bla..

On the whole...im sold

You guys are really lucky...
I can't get 25 fps with my 128 mb 6200.I have a AMD 2200+ XP and 1Gb DDR2.
I wanna upgrade it soon to have a smooth run of the ProStreet.

Guess I should try some new drivers...

edit: my configuration isn't worth mentioning anyway, but its 1Gig + Radeon9000pro. I thought I could have atleast ran it...

and those 8800 GTX screenshots are awesome, much better than the PS3's graphics i've seen yesterday.

Well running on Vista! This looks the worst NFS yet max detail very slow very woodern.
The 2 games I most wanted was Pro Street and Crysis now have played both demos and both I would give no more than 7/10

Have to say that the demo ran much better than I thought it would on my rig.

1024x768 @ 60Hz, 8x AA, all details on high. Runs dead smooth - not sure of FPS (is there any way to get the demo to display it, or perhaps I need to install FRAPS?), but certainly very playable.

This is on a P4 3.2, 1GB 400MHz DDR Ram, 7600GT 256MB. Oh, and Windows XP SP2.

Wasn't sure about the handling to start with (BMW sucks IMHO, but GTR is much better), but you soon get used to it.

Damage is awesome! Just love those slow-mo crashes when you write your car off. At least, they are slow-mo on my PC, don't know if they are meant to be tho...

However, if the full version runs as well as the Demo, I'm loving it!

When I accelerate during the start of a speed challenge, I see other cars doing burnouts but I cant. Call me a noob =D

Whoa.. From screens looks like PC is like the X360 well just alittle bit since X360 has more detail and relections & shadows are much more smoother, but its close. Unless EA pulled a THQ with just transfering the files from X360 to PC adding a graphics setting in the options and controls.
