If Liverpool get the chance to defend the champions league, it will mean that Everton will not be given the oppertunity to play in europe. Everton have worked hard to get to the league position they are in now, they had some great games, so is it fair that Everton might get kicked out or europe? But is it also fair that Liverpool don't get to defend the title? I mean the World Cup winners don't get automatically entered into the competition, they have to qualify too. The way UEFA are handling it is quit abismal, the champions league is going all t!ts up at the mo, they should've kept like it was before.... with the competition being about Champions, hence the name - Champions League.

I think this happened before when Real Madrid won the Champions League, but their league position wasn't high enough for them to qualify. The Spansish FA kicked out one of the other football teams who had qualified to play in Europe in place of Real Madrid.

Well the FA Premier League has just got under way, and Man Utd are on a good start, winning 2-0 against Everton - Rooney and Nistlerooy were the scorers :D

Is no one interested in soccer anymore?

Anyway, the Norwegian league ended today, and I just have one thing to say right now:

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

VÃ¥lerenga is the Norwegian League Champion 2005!!!!!!

It was a thriller, just like last year. My neighbor told me he had never seen me as happy as right after the referee ended the match. I was crying. One of the best days in my life!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

That's so typically me, starting up a discussion, then go away for a week...

Sir Ibi:
About the CL: Well, two clubs had a chance, but VÃ¥lerenga failed on penalties against Club Brugge in the final qualification round, after beating Finnish Haka in the 2nd round...
Rosenborg played against Steaua Bucuresti, and qualified. They're now playing in the same group as Lyon, Olympiakos and Real Madrid.

About Man U: Before the match against Chelsea, I kinda realized that we're in deep trouble, and something needs to be done. I actually predicted a 3-1 win for Chelsea... But I've never been happier to be wrong. Giving Chelski their first loss of the season felt great. And they also lost in the CL against Real Betis, if I remember correctly. Maybe there's still hope :D I'm impressed by Wigan tho. Just like the Norwegian team Start, they joined the big guys, and do incredibly well. Start finished 2nd in Norway, only 1 point behind VÃ¥lerenga, but if Wigan finishes in the top 3 in England, they'll make history. That doesn't happen every year :P

Andre:
Watch out, still a lot of matches to play

Alright Morty & co., you guys did battle hard on Sunday. So what if Man U had beaten Chelsea on Sunday? They're still far away from the Blues' top position. ;)

True, but since Chelsea now has 2 losses in a row (Betis and United), I begin to feel there's still hope. Wigan isn't too far behind tho, and I would much rather see Wigan win the Premier League, than Chelski... :P

Maybe not, but I'm still hoping. Anything is better than the Russian mafia winning the league (well, maybe except Arsenal winning it...) :P
