If Liverpool get the chance to defend the champions league, it will mean that Everton will not be given the oppertunity to play in europe. Everton have worked hard to get to the league position they are in now, they had some great games, so is it fair that Everton might get kicked out or europe? But is it also fair that Liverpool don't get to defend the title? I mean the World Cup winners don't get automatically entered into the competition, they have to qualify too. The way UEFA are handling it is quit abismal, the champions league is going all t!ts up at the mo, they should've kept like it was before.... with the competition being about Champions, hence the name - Champions League.Andre_online wrote:I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I strongly hope that they're allowed to defend the title, despite their upsetting position in the Premier LEAGUE table.
I think this happened before when Real Madrid won the Champions League, but their league position wasn't high enough for them to qualify. The Spansish FA kicked out one of the other football teams who had qualified to play in Europe in place of Real Madrid.
