Okay im getting a new Mobo instead of buying a new bios chip...

Anywho i was wondering if my video card died because when i go in nTune it says the clock speed is 0 MHZ for memory bus speed and core speed.

NOTE: i never overclocked it before hand.

I kinda hope it died and it wouldnt matter because the new mobo im getting is PCI-E. I just wanna enjoy AGP 8X for the final weeks

Propably just a faulty reading, since it's obviosly running at some settings if you are getting a picture. Try running some benchmarks to see if it performs as expected to be sure. Not that the 6200 is all the great to begin with...

well I have a question on how to fix a computer with the blue screen of death meaning my computer is toast

I can get to safe mode and safe mode with networking but I can't get to the regular windows

we know that a windows update got in some how and we think that is what messed it up

does anyone know anything on how to fix it?

we have vista and TestDisc only works on XP

and yes our drives are formated

EDIT: We are doing a check disc and it found some stuff but we're not sure yet
EDIT AGAIN: never mind the computer is back we did a check disc and that fixed it and it was some windows updates got into our computer and messed it up

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Does snyone know how to fix a computer that just had windows udates, got the BSOD because of the windows updates and a huge problem and then works and is slow now?

I need a new CPU Cooler and not sure what to look into or what is the best etc my price range to be honest would be about $80 at the most, im mostly looking for something that will make my PC way silent and so that it cannot be heard.

Since you want to go for Silence i would head towards Water Cooling.

Heres a good water cooler from Cooler master: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835103029

the minimum db the fan makes is 21 and the pump makes 20. And It should help you with your overclocking bits in the future definately

yeah but together that makes 41db and that is pretty load for a fan
here is a CPU fan that is very quiet and works really well:

I have this fan and it is really really good but it might not fit in you tower but it does have blue LED lights in it

I was looking at something like that snoopdogg879 but really like you said it may not even fit into my box, i think i may have to go with watercooling except that also seems to be extreme just for a family/gaming computer.

I have one of these myself: Zalman CNPS7500-Cu LED Pure Copper

http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/vie ... 7&code=005

Very effective cooling, and also quiet (unless you turn the rpm adjuster full on).

that is very similar to mine only in a different shape

a lot of people who got the fan that I said were complaining that it didn't fit in their box/case but I put it in my case with not even 1 problem

True, it is a pretty hefty chunk of cooling. Weighs about 900g. If anyone is considering getting one and has worries if it will fit in their case there is a pretty easy way to get an approximate idea of the space it requires.

The fan in the middle (as seen on the picture on zalman website) is pretty much exactly the size of a CD or DVD disk. So take a CD and hold it right abobe your cpu socket (add about 15mm to the diameter of it for the actual size) and see if it collides with anything.

thats actually a good size

the one that I showed is supposed to go horizontal with the curve facing the monitor depending on where the tower is placed and it has really good ratings but like I said before it doesn't fit in some cases and that is why

Not quite ... It would actually be 23.5 dBa ... The reason is that loudness is a logarithmic function rather than a linear function. 10 dB (or 1 B) = 10x as loud.

The formula for calculating combined loudness is:
10*log[10^(a/10)+10^(b/10)+10^(c/10)+...] = Total Loudness

So, to add 20 dB and 21 dB:
10*log[10^(20/10)+10^(21/10)] = 23.539 dB

There are good Thermaltakes around the market. I'm currently using a Blue Orb II for my CPU and the temperature is below the 15ºC. Zalman's are also the best ones, and very compatible with most of the hardware.

I'm getting a watercooling system next week for my VGA and CPU.

Xturbo.

Unless it's fairly cold in Chile and you have your computer standing outside, it's impossible to have temperatures like that. You'd be going under room temperatures with aircooling.

I have a HUGE problem...

I can't run Windows Media PLayer (only classic can run) or Winamp or even Photoshop CS3... All this happened after I connected my MP3 player (Samsung P2) and updated its firmware. Or maybe it happened because of Kaspersky 7. But anyways, I tried reinstalling Photoshop and winamp. Winamp worked, but when I plugged my player back in, it crashed and didn't start. Photoshop didn't work even after the reinstall, though I doubt the player has anything to do with it...
I'm not too worried about WinAmp or WMP, because I'm using mediamonkey, but I still need Photoshop to work. WTF is going on...
The WEIRDEST thing is that even MS Paint won't start. All my image editing things won't start. Thank god Sony Movie Studio does...

I really doubt my MP3 player's firmware update would do something to my computer.

Do you even know what an MP3 player is?

It's possible that there was a virus in the firmware upgrade file. Even if you did download it from the manufacturer's website, you should still run a scan on it.

Beyond that, I can offer no help. It really seems like a virus to me.

I did a full computer scan with Kaspersky... I just REALLY need photoshop to work. I miss cs3. :(
And I doubt samsung would put a virus into a file for an MP3 player, considering so many people will download it...
EDIT: I went back to CS2 because cs3 had no special new things, and CS3 was much faster...
Goodbye sleek blue box with a "Ps", welcome back featharz! UH OH... It doesn't load either...

EDIT2: YESS!!! I found out the problem. Aolsoftware.exe didn't let me run those programs. I love the internet for hinting the taskmanager. =D Damn, now I'm stuck with CS2 again lol.
