chimpzrl wrote:So yeah, PS2 graphics suck and there is no visual damage, but gameplay and customization are fantastic. Split screen rocks, too. It was surprisingly cheap ($30 USD), but that's probably about right for as pitiful as the graphics are compared to the other platforms.

I really like the variable assists, especially in multiplayer, so I can let my brother drive on Casual and I can drive on King and we will be about even. I LOVE the clutch feature. Brilliant. It makes drag twice as fun and I haven't even tried it with my wheel yet. Plus, you can now use clutch kicks to get the car sideways in drift :D .

The menus are retardedly difficult to navigate and make sense of. And the whole race day thing is very confusing to me. Unfortunately for me, I only like the rock music, so any European races drive me crazy with the music.

Need to play it more to say anything further.
What's the graphics like compared to Most Wanted and Carbon?

Well it works on my dad's laptop (demo) with Xp but I don't know if it's 64 bit or not, sorry.

I have another question for people who have ProStreet, is there a limit on how many cars you can have in career?

is it me or does anyone seem to think the steering is abit jerky. im gonna buy a new xbox360 controller for the pc but is it the settings or the controller which is making the steering jerky? (lose loads of speed even trying to turn round the most smooth corners.)

@ nick4gaming: Yea it kinda does feel jerky. But it seems that the Xbox360 PC controller is the best so far with ProSreet. My Nyko airflo cant play the game at all!
Another thing I notice is the brake lights dont work unless you are driving at low speeds! I think it was mentioned before but whats up with that?

man i played until super promotion and 1 of the competition is a wheelie competition the key to win the wheelie is get a good burnout and when it says go u must aim your gauge at the green area which is perfect shift than it will fly up to continue staying u must keep on nailing the perfect shift and using nos helps it to stay longer

Here's just a quick question for PS players: Is there away to stop cars from doing wheelies? for example.. Have a supra tuned to the max but you don't want it to do a wheelie.

Hopfully that made sence. :)

Looks like there will be a collectors Edition for the PC only it will be added in after you register with EA nation. Heres some of the email I received

Requires a full installation of Need for Speed ProStreet and an internet connection to play.

The Need for Speed ProStreet Collector’s Edition features:
Five exclusive cars - the '01 Acura Integra LS, '05 Acura NSX, '06 Lexus IS350, '06 Audi RS4 and the '06 Pontiac Solstice GXP to complete your ultimate car collection.
Extend your racing experience - Four additional career race days.
Visit needforspeed.com for more info.

It also includes instructions on how to get the extras. They are also available as a direct download for $9.95.

I received this information via the EA newsletter, and as far as I no it's freely available information

Its pretty much the same thing for X360 like i had written up. :) except you have to pay in actualy money while us X360 users use MS points.

Though who have to wait here are new screens..

nope u can't unless u did not get a perfect shift i also find a nuisance as when i was playing a drag race than the car when to a wheelie than when it land back to the ground, the car started to lose out of control and get totaled but sometimes i can managed to control it

Wow, just began my Career, and there's something about NFS which makes me like it for a while. In no other game you really have a bind with your car. In Forza and GT you just have to many cars (+100) to make one stand out. The game is not that bad IMO.

Djiel: that's a sweet ride man :).

Yea i also noticed that....everytime i push the brakes lights only light up on low speeds and also i get some weird static noise for like 2 secs when im playin for some time....
