The ps2 controller was calibrated properly. I remap the accel/brake to the analog sticks..
Maybe this here will convict you.. Half an hour ago I made another video this time again with ps2 pad.. After watching it you'll see a smilar score and drift as in my first video. Maybe i've lost my skills within a few hours or maybe the cause of the difference is really the pad.. your decision

My ps2 pad was calibrated properly too, I even searched for software that would help me tweak it some more. But in the end nothing worked. I had pretty much gave up on Carbon at this point. Then for x-mas i got the rumblepad2, decided to give it a try. It was a night and day difference. My drift scores nearly doubled in every track bacause i could now turn properly.
BTW, I'm with you GT3x24x7, wireless gamepads suck. And that logitech one has gotten alot of bad reviews.

I did the same thing that u did...Boosted420a wrote:Haha, I didnt even know those setting existed. I simply plugged mine into the pc and let Windows come up with it's own driver... plug-n-play style. I just installed the logitech driver, i'm going to play around with some of those settings.
First I plugged in the pad and let the XP detect it.
Then I started NFS and tried a drift race
however, the steering responded so slowly...

Not sure if i understand you correctly, your saying keyboard and rumblepad are equal?YaelDjiel wrote:ok, i really want to know this..
how the hell can you go through canyon drift at 160+mph (thats around 250kph) !!!???
wth is the key to this? i dont get it
even at half that speed i hit almost every wall there is to hit (little diff for me between keys and rumble pad btw)
For me, I use the buttons for gas and brake, not the anolog stick, but I do use anolog for steering. And I have said this before, 1st turn is crucial. You want to get as fast as you can into the 1st turn, it sets the pace for the rest of the drift for the most part. Also, I very rarely use the brakes, e-brake or normal. Most of my turns are done using the gas. Kinda tapping it in turns keep my speed steady and I don't smack into a wall.

Looks like it was a good thing I went back and try to re-do Copper Ridge.
Copper Ridge: 8,686,980 pts.
Now onto next track.

I think I may know what's going on. Do you have a DualAction? or is it a RumblePad2. Both loook identicle, but the Rumblepad2 is the one to get. It cost about 10bux more, but worth it. The Dual action... I have one of those on my kids PC, and it acts just like my ps2 gamepad.EVO_VIII wrote:I did the same thing that u did...Boosted420a wrote:Haha, I didnt even know those setting existed.
