i just have a quick question. does anyone know if the cars will handle any differently. like in SRS the RWD car handled like a RWD car and same with AWD and FWD. and it seemed to me like in NFSU:1 all the cars handleing the same. is the handleing gunna be the way in SRS or in NFSU:1?? thanks

in the newest article (11/08) it said somethin about the physics will be more realistic, like RWDs can spin out now if u it the gas too hard in a turn, etc. its probably more advanced than u1

I have a quick question , they said there would be visual damage in NFSU2, but yet i have seen any so far, not in screenshots, videos, nor the demo. So i just want someone to tell me why im not seeing any.

Because they turned it off for the demo. EA doesn't want to reveal everything! :roll:

40+ cars were recorded for NFSU2, including some outrageous dragsters, super tuned 350z's, racing cars etc. They were recorded by the top car recordist in the world. Hope this answers your statement.

nah, just at home being sick, and I heard that some people were discussing the audio in the game on this site. I'm very curious what people think about it since we worked on it very hard to make it the best sounding car game available on consoles. We took some of the feedback from last year and incorporated it.... always looking for feedback (good or bad) so we know what to improve upon for any next racing game. If people like the demo-audio, they'll LOVE the full game-audio. cheers.

oh, and since you're in holland... hoe gaat het daar vandaag ? Ik kom net terug van nederland. Het is fantastisch om te zien dat er ook mensen uit nederland zijn die dit spel mooi vinden. Soms vergeet ik dat er ook veel gamers daar wonen. Vele groetjes !

NFS Underground 2 has been officially released in Singapore, and it's already been distributed ISLANDWIDE. So anyone reading this post in Singapore, you can get it now for S$49.90. :)

IF you're in the Airport, go to Terminal 1 and get it in a computer store. It costs S$10 more than the retail price. :)

I dont see a true gfx difference between nfsu1 and nfsu2, but I checked the 350z car files in both games and....

:arrow: Underground 1
Geometry -> 5541kb
Textures -> 576kb
Vinyls ->18.129kb

:arrow: Underground 2 demo
Geometry -> 7745kb
Textures ->603kb
Vinyls ->16.908 :roll:

Well it is only a demo, and there are a few vinyls.
But Geometry size is +40% :D

*In nfsu2 demo is another file called "Parts_animations". I hope it isnt any weird thing invented by EA. May be the spinners thing?? It is the only 'animated' thing in a car.....

Hey has anyone here got an ingame pic of the "cavalier" people have been talking about? I also found out that the sound file *preludeSH* refers to the 1998 model. I just hope it made the final cut for the U.S. version :(

From what I found, I will be getting the game for PC for sure before the end of the week, some places say the PC release is the 10th, others the 11th, either case its less than 3 days for us in the Usa! Also, I have yet to see any damage in the game, but if that is the case, it would be a nice surprise :)

nfsu2

The PS2 version will be the best in my opinion, because of the online play and the pressure sensitive controls on the PS2 which always gets my favour...
although i had NFSU on Gamecube and PC...
