I need some advice on this.
I played a Wii at my friends house recently and I LOVE it. Sadly, its his little 4 year old sisters present, so she's very selfish with it and takes away the controller whenever she wants to and cries if she doesn't get it, even though she plays all day.
I want a Wii for myself now, but I found out it's only got 480p. Our TV is a 52 inch 1080p, so I don't think it would look to good on that. Also, my mom always watches TV, but we still have internet TV in the kitchen. I found the Wii more fun than my PC games even with the crappy graphics of WiiSports. The concept of moving in-life while in-game is a LOT funner than sitting at a keyboard or on the couch with a controller. But this isn't all........... =O
My dad has promised me a laptop at the end of the school year if I finish well. It's already opened in the living room, so I've seen it and used it for 2 minutes. It's a Lenovo ThinkPad R61i. Not too much of a gaming laptop, but it's great for working. Specs:
Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5GHz
1GB DDR2 RAM
80GB 5400rpm Hard Drive
Intel GMA X3100 Graphics (meh...)
15.4 inch Widescreen WXGA
So I'm having trouble deciding between these two. Fun or less fun but more things to do?
For the same amount of money, I'd rather get myself the laptop. You have the whole world at your finger tips. Why choose it over something where happiness and satisfaction are only temporary?
I see nothing 'satisfying' playing Wii. Sure, I'll have fun for the first few days, but I'll move on eventually.
My 2 cents.
P.S: I'd kill to be in your shoe to have my Dad buying me a laptop. The only reason I own one now is only because of my university education. A few years back I was using a 550MHz, 128MB SDRAM P3 HP Pavillion, which to my surprise is still running well despite its age.
This was my first ride and dude this ride makes you shiznit you're self http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-EA0l9JUsc
When you rip down you might think its sissy, trust me the geforce that hits you, it feels like you're heart is getting ripped out, bloddy amazing ride in such short time.
Was once the fastest and the tallest. Kingda Ka trumps Superman, though, at 456 ft., while Superman is only 415 ft. (though the drop is only 328 ft.). Superman might also be torn down, soon.
The exact amount of radiation that a person receives from natural sources depends on where the person lives. People living at high altitudes receive more cosmic radiation than people living near sea level because there is less air above them to shield them from the radiation. Also, some ground areas contain higher concentrations of radioactive materials than others. For example, in Denver [Colorado], which has a high altitude and an abundance of radioactive materials in the ground, background radiation levels are about 50% higher than the United States average.
