That's not because of your videocard. Did you already reboot your computer, install the patch etc?

You mean, did I reboot it after installation? I'm afraid not.
Nor did I install the patch

X300 is a crap card. And wtf is an xt800 Pro? X800 Pro?

Anyway, what I did so that the roads don't appear stretched and zoomed in to the point it's crap, I set Texture Filtering to max, then quit the game.

When I restarted it, it was fine.

And anyone looking for a good Video Card, get an MSI GeForce 6600 GT(Personally, I prefer MSI, I don't trust Gainward anymore). It matches the Radeon 9800 and outperforms it at higher resolutions with AA and AF on. It costs around 200 USD

So, what's the difference between MSI & Gainward..??
They both still outperform the R9800..
Maybe the difference is the price..??

MSI is usually factory-overclocked and seems more overclockable.

I see.. but why would you want to overclock an already great vid card for..?? ( I know, I know.. you want more power from your vid card so it performs better, rite.. )

Nice sig btw..

The 6600GT only comes in a PCIE flavor now, but waiting for the AGP wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Just avoid BFG.

Eh, whatthe hell...
I'm buying a new comp when PCI-E becomes popular. Bet that the "normal" PC components prices will fall

The 6600GT for AGP is coming out pretty soon though. Shouldn't be long til' it's out.

Which x800 are you talking about? The Pro version? or the XT version?
The Pro version does lose to out to the 6800GT but the XT version is commonly regarded as the best Graphic chipset available (the Platinum Edition to be precise). But i would guess ure talking about the Pro version as they are more similar in cost.
I'm not sure about AA but I can tell you that ATI has the ever-so-slight advantage in DiretX processing compared to NVidia and vice-verca for OpenGL. Most games nowdays run on the big M's direct X so this has given the ATI's a slight advantage. Though u gotta remember Doom being the BIG exception.
As for racing game you wont notice the difference after a certain point due to their unique game engnes. But a nice fat pixel-pipeline and and fast onboard memory(the gfx ram) always helps. And the 6800Gt's 16 pipes are mind-blowing compared to x800Pro's 12 (sometimes 14).
Just google to get sum benchies and u'll find out ......

And if u couldnt be bothered to read through that, the 6800GT is better...
And yeah Nvidia sponsers NFSU so thats it.

no way man, 600 for a gfx card is far too damn much, dont spend more than 300, i bet a x700pro is good also its only about 200

The X700 is about the same as the 9800 Pro. So it ain't that great.
