I don't think it's legal over here to cut pieces out of dogs anymore.enzo.ph wrote:just went to the vet yesterday and had my 4 month old pitbull's ears and tail trimed... i'll post his pic when the wounds heals.
They used to cut some dogs' tails before but ears?!?
Damn... They should make it illegal everywhere.
lol wut
If you want you're dog to look good then you have to do whats needed to be done. Well, here in our place its very common to trim your dogs ears and tails. Its usually done for doberman and pitbulls to make their ears and tails stand it makes them look smarter and meaner... it cost me about 150 USD. Its not ilegal here buyt ofcourse it has to be done by a porfessional vet. Its not like i'm just hurting him, ofcourse i love my dog.
Regular Pitbull

Trimed/cut Pitbull

See the difference? hope it makes sense to you now...

The anti-bacteria spray the doc prescribe aint cheap either... daayum.Felixkissa wrote:I think it's quite common to trim the ears of pitbull. saw a document once where they did it. with local anesthesia(I think, but it might have been even without anesthesia) the vet just cut the ears with scissors and then put a bandage on the wounds. Can't say I liked seeing it.
My other pitbull wasn't trimed nor its tail docked, the reason why i trimed this pup coz i want it to be more of a guard dog so it must look as mean as possible. i post a pic when i can get hold of a cam my phone res wouldn't really cut it...

My pitbull, Zeus.
We miss him bad.
Also, please, if you're going to raise a guard dog, make sure to treat him well. Zeus was an absolute saint, but he got a lot of fearful looks from passers by that noticed he roamed our yard without a leash. He never went after anyone, and he was GREAT with kids. He passed his yearly distemper test every year with flying colors. (where they give him food, and use a fake hand to poke around it while he eats to see if he gets aggrivated and attacks or growls) He'd never even pay it any attention.
If you own a pitbull, check out this short video. WARNING! NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS! CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES OF ABUSE VERSUS PITBULLS!

My ptibulls at home are the most well behaved and friendly dogs ever... but i wouldn't advice anyone to punched them in the face though... coz my dog will probably bite you're head off.S2000_Skyline12 wrote:i punched a dog in the nose because it tryed to bite my leg and has anyone ever heard that some mexicans cut open some puppies and put drugs in them, shipped them to the us and the recipients were gonna take out the drugs and toss the puppies elsewhere
