Sold As a Chevrolet?? LOL.Zpectre wrote:
Those cars were sold in Brazil as Chevrolet Vectras (saloon, not hatch). The GSi version was a cool car, outrunned anything not imported in its time.
The car list thing is subjective. I personally prefer more European cars.
Didn't know that Opel/Vauxhalls where also sold as Chevrolets.
I know many of the Opel/Vauxhall cars where sold in Australia as Holden (and still are.) and I knew that Pontiac was also in the mix (GTO in US / Monaro in UK / AUS) but that Chevy also was in the mix I did not know.
In the past I always thought it was only Vauxhall and Opel that shared (almost) all cars.
But it looks like there are alot more brands in the GM group are building the same cars.
Here in europe Chevrolets are basicly Deawoo's exept the Corvette. All other Chevrolets sold here are Korean cars.
I posted this a long time ago in a ricer topic.
It is a super Riced Opel Omega (forgot the Vauxhall name of it)
posted the pic in full size but forgot it was HUGE!
Wouldn't it be a great car for Carbon....
Super Rice
But IMO a Vauxhall Astra VXR would be great. (don't like the mainland europe Astra GTC OPC version as much as the UK VXR)

omg, I know a guy who owns a Astra GTC OPC. I was seated next to him, when he reached 260 km/h. That was about 3 days after he build in his new stand-alone fuel system and a new blow-off valve..

We had the British Cavalier (a.k.a. Opel Vectra) posted by DarrenR21373 instead of the American ones.SkeeteRX7 wrote:American Cavaliers were horrible, they weren't redesigned since the 80's.....the Cobalt is a much needed improvement.
While you had the GSi, we had the Z24.
That's as hot hatch as a 2001 Mercury Cougar.
Chevrolet is sort of like Opel in South America, with a few additional and even home-designed models...TheStig wrote:Sold As a Chevrolet?? LOL.

The past-generation Opel Astra is still sold here, as well as the Corsa. The new European Astra was transformed into a saloon and called the Chevrolet Vectra (because the current Opel Vectra is too expensive for our market...
This comes from some time ago. The Opel Ascona was sold here as Chevrolet Monza, as well as the Kadett.

A Gallardo? Now that would be interesting. BTW, has anyone here seen Autosculpt for said Lamborghini yet? I haven't been able to downlaod the On The Spot Video because it's too damn big for my dial-up connection.Toshiro wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but you start with either a EVO IX, Gallardo, or a Charger.
I saw these three in the On The Spot Show.
yup same here in Romania, but now, the Daewoo is gone, was taken by the Chevy, even the Matiz, is changed into Chevy Spark ,... but anywayTheStig wrote: Here in europe Chevrolets are basicly Deawoo's exept the Corvette. All other Chevrolets sold here are Korean cars.
IMO Opels are very bad @ racing, no wonder why isn`t this brand appeard in the latest nfs games. i just saw, dunno what ep on top gear, presenting the Vauxhall Vectra, some sporty name, it was really awesome, good looking, crazy speed, better than sport Mazda 6, cheaper ... but all this ended @ steering, the car has major oversteering ... my point is that EA probably throwed an eye over Opel brand, but they havent seen anything interesting ... all dough i like the new Astra GTC, and the new Tigra.

what you saw there are the demo cars, those cars will be into the demo, one car from each class

It'll be like all the other Need For Speed's, you'll have a poor performance car to start off with and then work your way up (or upgrade your car...). In my opinion, it'd be stupid to start off with a high performance car, 1-3 crappy cars in each category will be more (if not too many) than sufficient enough for starter cars.
The moment they go away from that, the game's will become even lamer than they have been.
Heck, I doubt you'll be even seeing something like the gallardo or company half way through the game, if not near the latter half of the game like in Most Wanted.

Dudes, let's be serious. We're likely to start with the same sort of lame cars we've been used to in Ux & MW.
You'll get something like a Punto, Fiesta or Polo, some US-only car like a Cobalt, probably the old Lexus IS again (although the new IS 220d would be pretty awesome - I'd start with that!) and a slightly better car if you've played MW, like a Golf, let's just hope it's the 2006 R32 this time.

I agree with people saying that starting with a really good car will just ruin the fun of building your way up. There will be no excitement in driving against bosses over and over until I get "that damn EVO IX".
Don't forget that the above options are what we got in MW that only featured Tuners and Exotics, all in one class. If there are 3 different classes, there should be 3 or 4 cars from each class as starters, as first you'd select class and second one of the starter cars of each class.DarrenR21373 wrote:You'll get something like a Punto, Fiesta or Polo, some US-only car like a Cobalt, probably the old Lexus IS again (although the new IS 220d would be pretty awesome - I'd start with that!) and a slightly better car if you've played MW, like a Golf, let's just hope it's the 2006 R32 this time.
I don't use pwned. I use BSODed. It's less cool and harder to say. I know.
Golf was never R32 if there will be one it will be GTI and it will be Golf 5 coz Golf 6 won't be released until Carbon is out!DarrenR21373 wrote: like a Golf, let's just hope it's the 2006 R32 this time.
And someone was point great those 3 cars could be starter cars for each class! Great thinking!
