The quality is really bad though; apologies for that.

This was taken on Friday the 25th of September during the practice session of the 2009 Singapore GP. I was over at the Esplanade Bridge, one of three of the faster straights in the circuit.

I'm jealous. My uncle had box seats for the actual race because he works for MediaCorp, so I'm definitely dissappointed that I left just a month or so before this happened.

I R T3H W1NNR!!1! Just spent the day at Wanneroo raceway for the Formula Ford training school. It would have been the best experience Iâ€™ve ever had... great fun! And strangely enough, I managed to become the person with the quickest average lap time for the timed 10-lap race. First trophy I've won for anything... so Iâ€™m completely chuffed about it!

There were 10 people racing today... one who actually races his car in drift events at Wanneroo. Obviously not too good at driving, if he was beaten by a n00b.

That sure looks a lot like Barbs.. but you said Wanneroo?

In fact I did something similar recently at Barbagallo in go karts. At night. In the rain. I came second overall by one point after getting two demerits for touching a puddle at the side of the track. But that's racing.

Would love to give these ones a go but.

Oh yeah... Barbagallo Raceway would be the proper name for it. I was thinking more of the Wanneroo karting track right next door. I think it's still sometimes referred to as Wanneroo.

Sounds like you must have used the Ultra-fast karts. That's also on my 'to do' list. I've always wanted to get a bunch of friends together to give it a go.

Hmm actually Bojan and Morty are coming down here next February and I was thinking it might be good to take them out there for a spin on the karts - wonder how many other Perthians we can rustle up for a little NFSUnlimited karting tourney??

I COULD go up to Perth....but I'm saving up for Sydney as I'm going to TG Live for the second year in a row next February.

I just got an Aurora AFX slot car set from my mum as an early Xmas and Bday present....And unsurprisingly the track in the instructions....erm....doesn't quite fit. I made up my own track and all is well, going down to the shops today to pick up a couple of Ford GT40s and perhaps a Porsche 959 for it.

Hell yes... bring it on. I think my friends from school are too stingy to pay up the dough for a race day anyway.

Here's a little tip for anyone looking for a new gaming mouse: Steer clear of the Logitech G9. My second one just gave up the ghost again, exactly as it did the first time. Here's the kicker though: Unlike the first mouse I went through, I didn't have SetPoint installed on my computer at the time. So as it turns out it IS actually the laser, not the software, that's ruining the mouse. Gonna go down and get myself a new MX Revolution ASAP.
