because it is extremely horrible to see, a green cube with lights of neon aqua running at 5 miles per hour, also that don't belong to the scene of the tuning and illegal street racingMaryJane wrote:I found this forum yesterday, and I have read the whole topic. I partly disagree. I think they are pretty cool to tune, but maybe not to race. I still don´t see why everyone has to complain about it.Radiokrimen wrote:because it is extremely horrible to see, a green cube with lights of neon aqua running at 5 miles per hour, also that don't belong to the scene of the tuning and illegal street racingMaryJane wrote:I found this forum yesterday, and I have read the whole topic. Well, maybe I feel this way because I like SUV´s in real life

Yeah. But I think the whole carlist is much better than in NFSU. I really like SUV`s, Infinity G35, Mazda RX7/8, Nissan Skyline, Ford Mustang...
I can´t wait to get it. I have already ordered Xbox version of the game. Well, I guess I have to play NFSU for a month. But 18.11 when NFSU2 comes to Finland...

I don't know if anyone has noticed this or if it has been said b4, but I read about 90% of this thread and I haven't seen it. Look at this screen. The top left pic to be precise. Is that a custom speedometer or is it just me? Could we choose from different styles? That would be gr8!
maybe time for a new soundcard???Picknicker wrote:Well in my mind there was a new question comin' up...
And does the same car (depending how much it's tuned) have a different engine sound?
Those two things really annoyed me in NFSU1... The 350Z and Tiburon looked much better from behind than the Skyline or Supra, which only have one muffler...
And the fact that a stockcar sounded the same as an allover stage 3 pimped one, was quiet.... sad... The only exception was, that the pimped version accelerated quicker - got faster to higher rpms so had a higher sound... But that was it... I wished the skyline had an extreme roaring enginesound on stage 3! Or any car...
Those things are two little details which would have a very big effect on the whole game!!!
cause there is difirence in the sounds of the cars tuned or not. the skyline does have a louder sound if the engine parts are lvl 3 and you can hear difirent turbo sounds in difirent levels
Ok they are not as good as should be and the BOV's don't sound loud.
but there is a REAL difirence... but not enough between the cars.. only cars that sound difirent are: skyline 350Z and the RX-7
but looking at the movies NFS U2 really sounds better

Then just don't use 1024x768... I run 800x600 with everything max'd out. Cept I don't use motion blur, because that's stupid, I don't use light trails cuz that's unrealistic in the first place, and I don't ahve road reflection because your driving on pavement not glass. But even if I wanted to turn all that on and bump up the res my gfx could handle it(ATI Radeon 9800+ Pro 128mb).
Everyone wants these fantasmic games with amazing detail, etc. but they don't understand that it takes a good computer to handle all that. Look at the features that U2 has, mainly free roam! Sorry pplz you gotta update that 133mhz at some point.

Em excuse, but the game still hasn't gone gold and there's a reason why preview copies are only given to journalists.
I'm sure that they'll optimize the whole thing so it will run on a radeon 9500+ card or gf fx 5600+ on max details at least on 1024x768. They are using the same graphical drive as in NFSU.
Wait till the final version is here, then comment the fps.

Well I think its like this: I have a Radeon 9600 now, and I can play NFSU at 1024x768 with everything maxed and almost no slowdown (only when theres lots of textures popping up (like in a spinout). Even better, when I make my showroom car, I take all the pics in 1280x1024, and it still runs pretty smoothly!
