Official Shift Discussion Thread (Half-Life 2)
Great, people were complaining saying you got the weight and the tq wrong. I dunno, but I found that so it should really help..TheStig wrote:THanks Korge, thats info I can use.
Wil work on a new carlist.
Ill put it on fileshare asap.
I really need to find jacoja. I need his concept art. His absence annoys me, even if its New Years...

It would be nice to see the 86-89 Celica on the carlist, might even be a selling point for me
I would also be happy to help out with any bug testing, or tweaking of car handling towards the end of the project. I could even write up technical descriptions for aftermarket parts, or something like that. I know I'm not offering much, but every bit helps eh

That would be a good car to add. I wouldnt mind driving my own car eitherboganbusman wrote:It would be nice to see the 86-89 Celica on the carlist, might even be a selling point for me
I assume there was that cut-off point because the '90 model and upwards is more tuner-friendly. But a 86-89 would be awesome
We are currently trying to keep it current, but since the old corolla is already there, the celica may not hurt. Dont expect many visual mods however..boganbusman wrote:It would be nice to see the 86-89 Celica on the carlist, might even be a selling point for me

Stig is currently doing all car specs.. If yu would like to help with aftermarket, I am fine with it, but you need to talk to stig first before allowing you dev access on the site.
And what car might that be?amda1 wrote:omg you put my fave car in the list

So you dont mind Bogan working with you on specs?
If he does, you are in charge of him.
And I am currently working on the temp site till our media release.
To everyone, later on, we will be having less updates on NFSUnlimited and more updates for members of the forums, so If you join, we will set up a members only area for people who trully want to follow this mod.

Korge I have one question about the game, what is the depth of tuning going to be? Such as engine packages or will you be able to choose little parts like drive belts, car batteries, alternators, pistons, carburetors, etc.? An exapmle of something like that would be Redline Legal Street Racing, and the parts have to be the right kind and size for your car.
Not as detailed as in real life, but pretty close... as long as Stig can get all the facts..weedman173 wrote:Korge I have one question about the game, what is the depth of tuning going to be? Hey guys, Im looking on MySpace music for artists to use songs in a soundtrack to use in game is wished by the user or to use in media posted. What kind of music do you think represent street racing scene the most? Im thinking Hip Hop and Techno ish style music and ofcourse the really good heavy metal for racing...

My friend plays the guitar and I might be able to get him to try out some metal songs.korge wrote:

Heres his myspace:

Maybe he could do some recordings without vocals unless you like his singing.
This song might be useful for some panoramas and shiznit.
