Simply put, Ricing is visually upgrading a car and doing nothing to it's performance. Typically the visual parts used are "over the top" outrageous and super-bright colors with lots of vinyls and decals are used.
And a Ricer is a person who does that.

As part of the NFS franchise, it's a bad idea (I'm still struggling to get over the inclusion of bodykits and all, and the lame pretentious story lines). However, as an idea, I guess it's got some potential, maybe. Not my kind of thing, but there may well be a market for it. It just doesn't belong in NFS.
