Most Wanted or Carbon- your choice
Rely non of the above, i think that EA needs to sit down and rely look into what the people that buys there games want and then do one RELY GOOD NFS game from that. Another thing is that they must redo to AI in the next NFS because like it is now and has been in the past is just stupid and a terrible work from them.
Carbon is not too bad, but in terms of driving experience, most wanted wins hands down. All career cars in carbon understeer, and feel very lumpy, of course I know how to overcome this but this is not the point. Only the custom cars are good, but then you can't get them in career mode without hexing it.DarrenR21373 wrote:I guess I'm in the minority, but so far I preferred Most Wanted. It was in the daylight to start with and the tuning was better in that you could change it whenever you wanted.
Carbon is just basically Underground 3 as far as I am concerned. Only thing I really like about it is the muscle cars.
A bug that I found: when you tune cars for performance, there's an option called fine tune performance or something (number 2), hit that, nothing happens, when you quit that section, the game asks you whether you want to leave without saving changes, so this must be a bug! I want to know what the fine-tune options are. Personally, I think EA just doesn't have enough man power to develop the game for so many platforms, you get the feeling that they are rushing it, the online games too often kick you with no reason at all, this never happened to me in Most Wanted. I know ea is preparing the pach, I'd prefer it be called "carbon completion pack" because it is then that you have the complete game, not now.

Gotta say carbon.. both have their issues, both are very fun.. but unlocks, tuning, and eyecandy are the reason for me to play these games in the first place.. MW had way too little stuff in it..looks better though.. quite lot too.. btw have anybody noticed theres some pretty familiar places in the Carbon like old chinatown... excellent!

couldnt agree more with EcksOa, darknight788, DeMyX, DarrenR21373, TheStig, vellu, fasttasf & DonC.
-game is too short and too easy, perhaps due to reworked catchup? dunno.
-what storyline? what is this more involvement compared to mw? i dont get it.
-environment looks crap compared to most wanted.
-would have prefered a mix of day and night instead of all night.
-crew members are really annoying, getting in the way and braking too early etc.
-only 4 sets of autoscultpable body kits and a couple more for the rims, thought it applied for all parts as per pre-launch hype, big disappoinment there.
-driving feel is a backwards step from most wanted.
-the only car you need is the audi lemans concept, i mean what cant it do?
-online pursuit knockout is stupid, cops cant communicate with each other so how they going to organise a roadblock? or deploy spikestrips or wteva. last racer is sure to win no matter what. i always have about 2 minutes spare to just drive around randomly b4 needing to finish.
-drift physics? why cant we just a have a real world physics thats uniform throughout? having concrete driving surfaces is already slippery enough to have some fun at controlling drift-oversteer, so why go ahead and chuck an auto-slide-&-counter-steer-for-you driver aid in as well? dum da-dum dum dum.
-car list is ok, not a big honda fan but would have liked to see the civics, rsx, s2000 and nsx's in there. inclusion of r34 and 350z is welcome but they dont have quite as a good a performance to be competitive online.
on that note i have to say i really enjoy online canyon racing coz its no nos, no collision and pure driving skill. i guess not many cheaters play it either which is a real bonus. and also coz im ranked number 1 (copper ridge - pc) =P but i did enjoy it while i hadnt reached that stage so thats a plus.
ps. i accidentally voted for carbon in the poll >.< NOOOOOO most wanted FTW

I prefer MW for a number of reasons:
1. You don't have to play online to unlock everything
2. The Career mode is bigger
3. The map is bigger
4. Cops serve a purpose other than to merely get on your nerves
5. Visually superior in every department
6. Drag racing
7. Later milestones are as tough as old boots and take an age to beat
8. Better final boss battle
9. Better final boss, full stop
10. More Challenge Series events
Did I mention it's bigger?
