Man, I just became a believer of DHL.

My monitor came like, 3 days early! It' wasn't supposed to get here until, according to Dell, Thursday-Friday... and according to DHL (last night,) tomorrow. Oh well, I certainly don't mind it coming today, since I probably need to go back to school tomorrow whether I'm really feeling better or not. =P

Yay... I was pretty woried about dead pixel with a refurbished monitor, but I don't actually see any. I guess I'll check out the webcam and the USB ports later.

I have a 5 year old BenQ 17" LCD. Served me well and looks good. Nice colours, dark blacks, vibrant colours.

However; I think I'll pick this up in the next month: http://www.getright.com.au/v2006ver1/in ... &Itemid=26

I was hoping to get a touchscreen as my secondary monitor (I actually think it'd be very useful...) but they still cost around $500, which is actually quite surprising to me. :?

I'll probably just run a single 22"

And I think I'll go a BenQ E2200HD. Good reviews around.

In an hour or so.... I'll drive down to my computer store... pick up the E2200HD, and I will be running that side by side with my 17" BenQ. Dual screen FTW! Especially when one is a mega sexy widescreen full HD 22"!

I'm still wanting another one of these Dell's to dual-screen. Talk about sexy... :P

Heard many good reviews of it.

And I'm going to say it's fantastic too. Nice picture, good colour... did some publishing on it and it turned out right, and there isn't noticeable motion blur in gaming.

Happy to hear that.

I'm planning on keeping it, like 2-3 years, and I want to be sure that my money are spent well.

Ordered myself one of these:

Asus VW266H
Panel Size: 25.5“ Wide Screen
True Resolution: 1920X1200
Contrast Ratio (Max.): 20000 :1 (ASCR)
Response Time: 2 ms (Gray-to-Gray)

It was supposed to arrive this week, but seems to have been pushed back. The dealer can't even give me a reliable estimate on it, they just say "the usual 18 days to deliver" even though it's already been two weeks...

Well, I'm in no particular horry. All good things to those who wait...

Another case of the non-Newegg victim. :(

No, really though, that's insane. Why didn't you try ordering online?

@Carcrazy: Erm... why not just go to a store if you don't want to wait?

BenQ E2200HD with 5m HDMI cable = $240 AUD and no wait at all.

Well, there are really no electronics stores around here, unless you count walmart, which charges an arm and a leg compared to online prices. Plus with Newegg even with the cheapest shipping it normally makes it there in 2-3 days.

So, I guess if you live in a large city that's one option, but he went to a store and look what's happened. He's having to wait almost a month for his monitor.

And since I'm here, a little update.

Still same monitor, but I should be using HDMI for my Xbox360 and leaving my PC on the DVI port. May make a small workstation and use the VGA port, but unlikely at this time.

Not sure, but since it's a brand new model which is just coming to the market I was prepared for it to take a while. Plus I live way the heck up at the Artic Circle in Finland on-line shopping is the only way anyways... And the shipping time is atleast a week even if the product is immediately available (and in this case this particular display wasn't at the time I pre-ordered it)
