Technically it's not, a GT-R has AWD ATTESA ET-S and the RB26DETT engine while a base R34 25GT-T Sedan (or Coupe), or above (until the GT-R itself), only has RWD and the RB25DET, which develops far less power. Now, you COULD effectively make a four-door BNR34 GT-R by taking the ER34 Sedan body and putting it onto the BNR34 GT-R chassis with the all-wheel-drive system and then putting the RB26DETT into it, but that would be WAAAAY costly.

And for that much effort you could make a much better sleeper: a Prius body with a Supra Turbo, IS300, or Soarer chassis / engine

(you'd have to take the "Hybrid Synergy Drive" badge and blue w/clouds license plates off though  )

Do you understand what a monocoque chassis is?

You can't just take the body from a Skyline and drop it over another chassis  To make a 4-door GT-R, all you need to do is get the 4 door car and swap the driveline from the GT-R. Prop shaft might need lengthening or whatever, but that's not a big deal.
Well I'm not sure if it's quite that simple but physically splicing two Skylines together would be a nightmare.

I was about to say the same, I think someone watches to many hodrod tv programs.
Back in the 60's you could do that with your Cuda.

Okay, by "chassis" I meant "drivetrain" - okay, I'm bad with technical terms (so maybe I shouldn't be talking about this  ). I was mostly using the "Civette" project (Civic body on Corvette drivetrain and engine; apparently most of the Civic chassis was kept) as my reference for how this would work; however, seeing as the Skyline GT-R and Skyline Sedan are more similar this would be more feasible and fewer parts from the GT-R would probably have to be carried over.

(technicality food chain anyone? )

Uh, did you need to post that twice?

Yeah, though, the M5 (especially the E39) is one of the best.

yeah i think the old m5 like the one in hp2 is the best sleeper- the new one is more "radical" looking and more likely to be noticed

Yep, the stagea. It's an R34 GTR, but it looks like a volvo, lol.

But Dodge challenger and S15 no way! They look like sports cars. I wouldn't even call an R35 GTR a sleeper unless a Zonda or Koenigsegg was your target on a mountain road.

Yeah, that's definitely quite a sleeper. Also, it's "Nissan Stagea WC34 2.6RS", not "R34 GT-R" - although it shares an engine and many other components, it's not named the same way.

Well, I'm not very familiar with the car, I just saw a mod for GTA once.

There was a TRX Bluebird at the Legend Of The Lakes that was extremely quick, yet it was outlandishly quiet compared to the rest of the field, and stock as a rock in looks.

Wouldn't call an E63 with AMG bodykit and 4 exhaust pipes protruding from the back a sleeper either.. :?

Still it's an elegant car (I actually think that it's the worst merc ever but anyway) And it's quite hard to believe that i would pwn some pretty fast sports cars.

No it isn't. Anything with AMG badges on it is bound to sound good and go like a bat outta hell. On the other hand, a decent sleeper would be the 135i Coupe. Twin-turbo V6 without showing it in the looks.

Agree... people would just see it as a baby Beemer, it it can make the M3 nervous.

It's quicker than the E30 and E36 non evo (200/215/238bhp and 286bhp respectively) but it's heavier (and slower) than the E36 M3 Evo (321bhp) and a lot slower than the E46 and E90 M3 (343/360bhp and 414bhp)
