I'm most frustrated with the control on the PC version. Unless later cars are better for handling, the control in this game is absolutely terrible. Your car swings back and forth for no reason and it's almost impossible to drive in a straight line.

I guess the gameplay is okay but I think it may get boring. But since the control is so awful right now I don't know how motivated I'll be to keep going.

And to think I was considering buying a console version of this.
As many people say, once you get past the boat 240sx, the controls are much more bearable.

Alright, fine, I'll put up with it. I want to believe this game can be fun.

What car do you suggest I move onto?

lol I'm not that overly critical of games coz I kinda suck at all of them
so basically if its somewhat entertaining and easy enough for even me to beat,
I'll be happy lol

hehe..yes

On another note, im beginning to like the arcadic handling. Reminds me of underground, and handbrake is a race saver. Eg. at high speeds like 150+mph, the road suddenly curves, no doubt your car will understeer, but just tap the handbrake and you oversteer into a powerslide sorta, and maintain a fair amount of speed. ;) Unrealistic but quite fun..

Hmmmmm, lots of opinions re: game-play, handling, and graphics... how does the audio sound this year? (all other matters aside of course)

From many sources, I hear they reused ProStreet. This helped them pump Undercover out in under a year.

But in that case, the recording team who did ProStreet did a remarkable job and the sound is the best aspect of the game.

Yea i won, but winning isnt as fun if you cant dominate the race, and thats hard.

Also, the car is running stock, except for the rims :)

like i said, winning isnt much, unless you dominate by beating some sort of record you wont earn wheelman points and as far as i see it game progress gets slower.

Progressing now, unlocked sunset hills, got rid of hector, zack and other noobs. Now i have a new boss. :D

EDIT : You have to do a 'transporter' mission in someones riced up Audi S5

i guess that's one of the reason they made it easy...

if it was too hard... dominating would be impossible...

so the point isn't to win, but to dominate... >.<

Played it a bit more last night to make sure I wasn't just getting a poor impression of it. I got to the next boss race (where you get the Audi if ya want) and it crashed mid race. To cap it all!

The visuals and handling are still crap no matter the car used, and with all the graphical glitches it leaves you wondering what EA Black Box are paid to do? Eat cookies and drink milk?

I agree with the IGN review (btw I was really looking forward to this game and it was surprising that it was so bad to me) of the PS3 version which is pretty synonymous with the PC version. Why on Earth did they make it so easy a 2 year old could complete it? Conclusion there is no point to the game.

Sorry if this bursts a few bubbles, but it's the first NFS I can say is truly total crap.

O...M...G

I said that I didn't have a good feeling about this.

PC version is TOTALLY crap. I can't max out the game even with my new HD4850 and the stuttering (yeah like MW when I had my old computer) is turning me crazy. I can't believe that 2GB DDR2 PC1066 can't handle the game. And my Core 2 Duo E8600 is suffering a lot with it. I have updated my video drivers and still no fix. WTF this time with EA??? Wasn't this supposed to be the no glitchy, no stuttering, no pop-up, and many no bugs NFS? Even we have those pixelated shadows again from MW....

I'll sell my PC copy tomorrow and I'll get the XBOX360 version....just can't belive how unoptimized the PC version is compared to the xbox360 version....I feel like being insulted by EA right now, or like if they had put a finger in my eye....

Well done EA, this is the LAST TIME I'll buy a NFS for the PC and I swear it for god that it'll be like that. Next time, I'll be getting only console NFS.

Well, at least I'll be not getting those terrible stuttering issues all the time...maybe a little, cars almost teleporting after stuttering, pixelated shadows or crashes....

Ok...

I can't play even CLOSE to smoothly until I turn my settings down to 1440x900 and low-medium. No AA, low shadows, med car detail and med world detail. I can't believe how unoptimised it is, and I have a 9600GSO. That's basically a 8800GS. Not a bad card if you ask me. The game may be fun but I agree that the 240SX handles like a boat. Highest turnoff is the non-optimized graphics. Can't even wonder what it's like for the PS3 version because I hear that one's optimization sucks too. I'm getting Burnout instead and save myself a couple bucks.

I'll post pics from the 360 version in a bit to show a difference.

The website is crappy right now and can't find where I get the uploaded photos... FFS

I passed on playing Pro Street so I dont have a basis to rate this on. All in all, the controls are a bit sloppy, but I like the streamlined menu and how easy it is to get in an online game.
