I wouldn't feel safe driving that car at 120mph. My dad had a suzuki sidekick and when you would go 85 you could feel the car rock at any small gust of wind.

My volvo can definately do at least 100mph(cuz I've done it), and it's just as solid as a rock :)

his car is manual and could go about 130mph. lol we live in condosand there we have speedbumps, so when my brother goes over them he always touches it with his bumpers and sideskirts since its lowered  a lot of scratches though.
@ Sp3aK: if u think its not safe driving this car at 130, I bet the car my brother had before was much safer. He had Ford Contour V6.
here are some pics in this link
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/407741
broke his engine on that contour, so that why he bought the Daewoo Lanos

Yeah, but you reach a point that you have too much power for the gearbox, so the gears will be too short. Engine revs up too fast, cuz it's too powerful.

Light cars become unstable at high speeds. A single blow from the wind can really push your car. Imagine what happens in a Smart at the highway.. Never see them there though.

The Celica is not a Hatchback! it's a liftback.
and also a coupe cause it's got only 3 doors.

My favorite hatchbacks are all golfs; especially 2. Then I would go for some old Crx, or maybe Rover....
