Please shut up, yes? I see you have lots of more posts than I do, and I think that you don't know what is forum spam...Your posts are useless even more than mine. You enter a topic, and say, "ooops, wrong topic for me, going out" or something. Please

As Bojan said it all depends on how one defines expert. The term "xpert"could mean alot of things to alot of different people. Same goes for a noob or whatever else.

BTW, I read some thread on the previous page that said you could tell a noob by how much they post, well tell me how that is. Especially when that person(ME) or anyone else doesn't get on all the time. Only thing that means is that they probably don't have enough time to go searching through all the threads to post their opinions or their knowledge of those posts.

One last thing, to define what does expert mean, ASK the person who used the term. Then they can tell you what it means to them and then you can see if that applys to you or not. Cause like i said before the term expert or noob is relative, in other words, it is subject to interpretation when the term is not defined.

Don't criticize(sic) me for repeating myself, some people have to read (or be told) over and over before they understand what is being said.

Do you really think of yourself as a newbie? Surely NO ;)
EmptyWords wrote:how can you be a master at being at a forum?? it makes no sense to me. its not like its a skill, that you can post more accurately?? please elaborate..
Yeah you can improve yourself as a forum user!!
IMO, an expert should:

- Follow all the rules
- Talk about interesting, useful things
- Post always in the right section
- Create new topics just when necessary
- Try to help other members
- Treat other users friendly
- Accept his own mistakes
- Learn to edit his posts --> ;) @ DoR
- Kiss up to the moderators at least once in a lifetime
- Be ready to learn new things the others can teach him
- and more things I dont remember...
909 wrote:dragon, u forgot to include "spammer" after expert, cos a lot do so in order to improve postcount
Uhm I was cosidered a spammer but that wasnt my objective... What is the benefit of having a "fat" postcount??
This is actually the 1st forum I have ever participated in, and I had to learn the basic rules within time :D Plus English is not my 1st language!
Now Im a better user, hence my vote (expert) :P

Although Im far of being perfect!

EDIT 8) : @206P if you are a moderate user then why are you breaking the basic rule off the signature size :?

Moderate I guess. I do follow this forum quite actively (check for new post a couple of times per day) but I don't participate in everything. Usually just things that interest me. Haven't started that many topics, nothing major anyways.

okay, well..there could be a person that knows all the forum rules, but that doesn't make him an expert. that just makes him a good "memorizer."

btw, i dont spam that much..sometimes i do it by mistake, but i never do it purposely...my posts are mostly always lengthy and have meaning, so dont call me a spammer. btw, bogan: who are you to call me a spammer? :? you're the one going around spamming;

example: "oops this is the wrong topic for me. i might offend someone." ----"Death" thread

well, did anyone say anything about that? NO. so why am i being classified as the spammer...btw, the only reason im saying this is because im NOT a spammer....i actually say useful things, so its not classified as SPAM.

wowirace, I was not really spamming, because I was trying to introduce a slight amount of humour, and at the same time I gave a slight impression of my opinion on the topic.

And I only did it ONCE

I think he meant EXPERT, as in your knowledge of the forums. You're able to navigate all the forums without making a new post by asking this & that. Basically you're good in using the functions of the forum.

well, nobody is THAT smart, that they dont ask questions (other than Bill Gates), so i guess the expert option shouldn't be there.
