What's the deal with editing screenshots for the showroom?

Is this a new thing? Because I have, since that post, uploaded about ten cars and they all were accepted. I cut out the cars, made them bigger, changed the backgrounds, and improved the contrast a little. I haven't had time to get on and check and see if any rules changed so I'm trying to get back into the swing of things so to speak.

Cut outs and slight contrast enhancements is about as fas as you can go. For the backgrounds pretty much anything goes. Just don't touch the car itself (as pointed out several times all ready). These have been the rules for quite some time now.
