BOV can only go in one spot.

Anywhere between the turbo and the intake manifold (usually closer to the intake manifold).

Ive got a mate with a 406 estate diesel, with a BOV fitted. Phone Limpex Sport back up, and call them all retards. :)

I doubt that it will increase your performance.

It will just give you the 'pssshhht' sound when you close the throttle.

It does increase performance in a turbocar that runs on petrol, but I heard it doesn't on a turbodiesel. (LOL, I don't understand why.. It's basically the same right?)

--> A BOV dumps the pressure which you'll get when you release the throttle. Without a BOV, the pressure forces the turbo to stop spinning, so in the next gear, the turbo has to build up power again.

Bah, correct me if I'm wrong. It's a long time ago I teached this myself. :P

I'm currently driving a very, very old, very, very ugly Corolla. I've decided it's about time I got something a little more nippy (Nothing over 100hp though), and something that has a little more in the looks department.

Only problem is, I'm not quite sure what to go for. I quite like this model Civic. I've seen one locally for 900 quid, but I'm not sure about the aftermarket parts for it, does anyone know how easy it would be to get hold of parts for this car from the UK?

I'm open to suggestions, but lets be realistic also please. Keep in my mind it's the aftermarket visuals I'm mainly after- performance mods for young drivers make my insurance unpayable.

Thanks all!

Thats an EG Civic (92-95). If its £900, Id be wary of its condition.

Plenty of people do aftermarket parts for them.

Bodykits:

If youre after a low horsepower car, go for the 1.3 model.

Try http://www.jdmcivic.com for some real help, its a UK based Civic owners club. :)

Guys, I think I'm gonna buy one of this, I'd prefer the older one, but it's very difficult to find a good condition one here (cause half of them are jammed on some trees :D , and the other half has been certainly raced :? ), so I'd bring what I found.
Can you help me?
I'd like to make it a bit nicer (not ricer :D ), but I don't wanna spend too much money cause it's an old car....what can I buy with 1000€ for example??
I'd like some white rims/front (+rear) bumper/sideskirts/spoiler...but with this amount I know I would probably buy just 2 or 3 things :?

Thanks Grez! A lot of reading for me to do there, maybe someone on the JDM Civic forum can tell me what to look out for (e.g. common problems) in the EG Civic.

I arranged to visit that Civic EG, it was a complete mess- rust around the arches, ripped interior and the owner reckoned he had got a new tailbox- sounded more like part of it had just rusted away and fallen off.

I'll just have to keep looking I guess.

Yellow - No problem :) Good luck with the search, I think the average price for an EG is about £1500.

Viperjay - The 106 rallyes are nippy little cars. Lower it and put some new wheels on and youll have a very nice car :)

OK I want to get a cheap 350z... where can I get it??? (In Spain it costs 36,000€)
I can afford a 15,000€ one as max.

And some day I will make a 'nfsu-to-real-life' conversion +scissor doors. A purely ricing operation (the 280HP stock are enough for me) :D

Yeah a 300ZX could be great.

3days ago I saw an Eclipse for 7500€ but it was the GS version.... (1998)

Well my parents dont like me to get a used car. They prefer that I get a new Renault Clio or an Opel Corsa around 80HP for 10,000€
Yeah it is always better to get a new car, you wont have any problem but... A Clio? LOL

yeah a "normal" CLIO :? you see them around the mediteranian 10 a minute...and a corsa is a nice car... if you like shoping....
I know youn have less problems with new cars... but don't get a OPEL if you want reliability :P
want a reliable car... get a JAP! (old or new)

Are those the same brand? Also, the size of the wheel depends on how large the spokes are.

How about the Silvia S15, if you like drift this is definately the one !!
D1 race, about 50% of all the participants are S15. you guys know it, its a drift machine.

dream street setup: SR20VE NeoVVL + turbo
or you can dig out a original factory SR20VET from the JDM special version of X-trail.
