I believe I've hit 200kmh before (about 125mph) - I hit the limiter in my Intrepid once, which would be set anywhere between 190 and 200 (as I said, I know I was in that vicinity, just when I was going that fast, I didn't really want to look down).

In KPH, I think the fastest I have been would be...[googles it] 273.5, but that being done on a track, I guess doesn't really count. On a road, I loose my bottle past about 140, even if its quiet- because thats not-just-points-on-licence-but-long-driving-ban speed. Anyway, driving fast doesn't really require any skill, its driving fast on country roads, and staying in control, that requires skill.
Hopefully today I can sort the clutch out on the Audi (its badly worn) and give it a nice tidy up, then I will repost pictures of it, along with dyno sheets if anyones interested.

No, I believe people can be that stupid. I think hes lying about the Merc, because I've never been able to jump-start my mates SL320 even with the car unlocked, thus meaning that it would be almost impossible to hotwire- Merc have a similar repuation to BMW (apparently not one car illegally hotwired in 10 years ).

I miss mine =(
My younger brother's driving my 318iS (through a wierd chain of events it passed onto him) and the manager of a local garage has my M3 Evo.
I'm more than happy with the Audi though. Currently looking for S1 spec intercoolers and variable digital boost controllers.

I once accidentally turned into an intersection without indicating. That was pretty stupid on my behalf

... doesn’t compare to jungledude's BS story.

I havent been that stupid, but there was one time I spun the wheels all the way around the corner of an intersection to be faced with a police car screaming towards me down the road with it sirens on... I was so lucky to realise his objective was elsewhere

That kinda things happened to me a few times. When I was driving the M3 Evo, i turned ASR and ESP off, and drove the Tetbury roundabout (A38 I believe, its a 2-lane jobby into a duel carrageway) at 60-ish (the limit) pretty much sideways. Without realising there was a V70 T5 Q-car screaming down the outside lane at about 110.

So I am not the only one who did a corner with spinning (screaming wheels) while the Police was around the corner

In my case I was driving with a friend and I was driving neatly and I drove up to the trafficlights and they went to Orange and I wanted to go passed it before it turned red so I hit the accelerator in the Golf 1.6 we where driving and it was hot and dry so the Tyres Screamed on the tarmac like crazy and when I got out of the corner I noticed a traffic police car standing in the grass with a car they just pulled over and they where all staring at us
But it didn't end there , when I looked in the rearview mirror normal city patrol car was behind us and I was like.... where did he come from  so I started driven super neatly and kept watching the patrol car behind in the miror to see if it kept following us, and it did untill I stopped near a city map to see where we where and it stopped next to us and looked at us and after that kept on going.

Its happened to me more than once!
Heres something a bit scary- 4-wheel wheelspin. I've had that in the Audi, whilst I was running on the worn old tires shortly after MTM did their magic with the car. I pulled out of a t-junction on a luckily empty stretch of road and ended up crossing into the opposite lane and almost spinning because the car just couldn't get any power down.

There was one minor stupid incident I had once.

My dad owns Autotec Tuning (Biggest perf'car buisness in Southland, NZ) and I get to work there often, which means driving all sorts of different cars. So there was one Diamante dad told me to bring into the workshop, so while I was doing a U-turn to bring the car in, I was sure I had lots of room but then I felt this scrape right across the side of the parked car opposite where the Diamante was parked. So I brung it in and there was a moderatly minor amount of damage on the bumper. But it dosnt stop there. The next day I was bringing the Diamante inside the workshop to lock up and go home, I was pulling up behind a Lancer and engaged the brakes, but the brakes didnt grip the rotors very well and the car kept moving moderatly fast, I pushed the brakes harder and evenually ended up with my foot trying to break through the floor. Anyway, the car stopped behind the Lancer and I got out to park the next car, and then I noticed I HADNT missed the Lancer, and the Diamante's nose was burried inside the Lancers rear number plate groove.
So anyway, make that two incidents.

Bloody Diamantes, I won't buy one ever...
