Vista has been totally revamped when it comes to security, although to what extents still remain to be seen. Hackers have been working to try and find security holes in the system, and AFAIK, no major ones have been found so far. With Windows XP, Microsoft released a patch the 2nd week the OS was in stores to fix up a security hole. It also takes full advantage of a lot of the recent hardware advancements, such as undedicated processors, native 64-bit computing, MCE capabilities, and a hoard of other features.NFSBLUECIVIC wrote:Is it really worth what it costs? Looks just like a new theme for XP, and it doesnt even support everything yet!
But to what effect are these features better? It's too soon to know for sure.
EDIT:
Crysis is Vista only. It uses only DX10 shaders which will only be available on Vista. However, it may be ported to the Xbox 360, as Microsoft has said the Xbox 360 GPU is DX10 compliant.
