Hmm that sounds pretty good as a opinion..

IMO this is how it goes to me, Japan has tuners, America has muscles and Europe has Luxury/Exotics

@ Fishwhiz: I remember a long time back I proposed the idea of having cars like Maybachs and Bentleys in the game. I think that having luxury cars is an excellent idea, but only certain cars will be able to race well. I think an excellent luxury car to race is the Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG, and I agree about the M5. But I think the M6 could be considered a sports car, because it is technically a Coupe, though it's just produced by BMW.

im with devildog but how many idiots would make a game where you can drive around a city a million times and not have to fuel a car up.

well really, what's the point of fueling up in an NFS game? I know some people want "realism", but there's a point where it reaches absurdity. Maybe one of the kinds of races takes longer, and there you DO have finite fuel, and there are several gas stations that serve as pit stops.

Well if there are pit stops then the game might as well turn into a racing simulator like Gran Turismo with racetracks instead of streets.

You've got a point. I was just giving the only situation in which having to "gas up" would be even remotely acceptable. Sometimes it's fun to just drive around the city again and again, eh?

Hmm...I have not been on here for a long time, so I'm not sure what has been said.

Anyone think these would be good?

Saturn Astra Red Line
Saturn Sky Red Line
Mazdaspeed 6
Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B
Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG
Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG

Just a few I just thought of.

So the US gets the Astra aswell eh? but then on a Saturn badge.
Does not make it prettier.

For a racing game I much rather see the Vauxhall Astra VXR.

id like to see the corsa, astra and vxr8 in the next game so there can be a gto and not a monaro.

I'd rather see the Monaro VXR 500 than a GTO.

Agree with Astra VXR, Corsa VXR and VXR8 though :)

I really liked having A GTO in Most Wanted. :|

The Astra...

Well, we had a derivative of the Astra for a while, the Ion. And that was a cheaper version of the Chevrolet Cobalt. It's funny, because I've wanted the USA to have the Astra for years, and I bet my dad $10.00 that the Astra would be a Saturn while he thought it would not come here at all (because of how we have the Mazda 3 and Volvo S40, but not the newer Ford Focus based on it). I finally won, because of GM deciding for our Saturn to be Europe's Opel, except with plastic body panels, us getting the Aura, a better looking Vectra w/ optional hybrid and the engine choices simplified to the BAS-24 mild hybrid 2.4 liter four-cylinder, the unimpressive LZ4-35 'High Value' V6 with , and the performance-oriented LY7-36 'High Feature' V6 with 255 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. It's a really nice car as well, like the Vectra my friend who lives in Europe owns, which uses a 2.8 liter turbocharged variant of the LY7.

It's also interesting while you guys have the Vauxhall Signum (an excecutive/midsize luxury car) built on the extended-wheelbase version of the Epsilon Platform, we have the Chevrolet Malibu Maxx (a really, really cheap plastic-filled version of the Signum that has only the LZ4).

The two engines for our Astra are:

1.8 liter 140 hp I-4---Standard, decent, engine.

2.0 liter 237 hp turbocharged I-4--- Red Line (equivalent to OPC or VXR) engine.

What do you guys think?

I would like to see this in a NFS game:

that every continent has it's own version of the/a car.
For instance the Astra

Brittish NFS gamer drive the Vauxhall Astra VXR
Mainland Europe NFS gamers drive the Opel Astra OPC
Australian NFS gamers drive the Holden Astra SRi Coupe (ok not the same specs as above but just to show the options)
North American NFS gamers drive the Saturn Astra Red Line.

Why?
Well then when you go online you can see cars from all over the world so you can see where a driver is from by his car.

just a tought.

That's pretty smart. By the way tought is spelled thought.

OK, Let`s wish...

More cars
More Game Modes
Day-night racing
Longer game
Resurrect old rivals (Klutch, Ice, Nemesis..)
More customize options
Custom soundtrack
MORE SENSE OF SPEED
Maybe old bonus tracks (Rocky Pass, Landstrasse...) 8) [/b[img][/img]
@ AJ: Maybe you will want to expand more on those as the majority of them have already been mentioned. And what is the purpose of the Skyline picture, just a car you want in NFS 11?

Didn't say I was. :P

I really don't understand why EA never ran a day/night mode by using the system clock. Is it like because they would have to make new textures for the entire world or something?

Offtopic: @ thestig: See, I just misspelled "the" again.

I don't think they would have to make new textures, just new lighting so the textures appear differently.

See... I don't think that would be that hard. :?

Not at all, especially when they can do headlights and streetlights quite well.

What do you mean "using the system clock"...what, 24 hours that correspond to the player's time? I think it would be better having a faster day/night cycle.
